Looking for a Los Angeles thrill ride? Shoot high up high in the Hollywood Hills inside a 1926 three floored Spanish Castle, check out the huge collection of rock n roll + cinema memorabilia. This house is ready to shoot in with very little notice. It's a living prop house, celebrating my 30 years behind the camera with Hollywood's best! I have just recently made my listing public, be one of the first to find this treasure! MOST all of my props are available for your production, although some of them + artwork are copyright protected and can not be used in any scenes, just ask me. As mentioned on Giggster.com's website, rates are based on a MINIMUM EIGHT HOUR SHOOT DAY, any overtime is equal to 1.5X an hourly rate which shall be figured out between Giggster.com and the renter. Renter MUST supply and insurance COI to my Production company. The Hollywood Sign + Hollywood Blvd are just a ten minute drive away. Very close to West Hollywood, Burbank and Downtown L.A. also!
The 1920's house is located in the Hollywood Hills close to public transport. The home is decorated in an eclectic mix of ethnic and European antiques. The large tropical garden is ideal for a shoot that could be either in the jungle or a place owned by a bohemian local. The interior is just under 2000 square feet including the enclosed front porch. The lot it sits on is over a quarter of an acre.
I have just added the pink room. It is my jewelry-making studio. It's where I hide during a shoot to be out of the way, However, l available should you need it to get a shot, just ask me to move while you do your work and I will be happy to accommodate you.
I have installed a short fence around the lawn to protect it from dogs. (see photo) It can easily be stepped over and you are free to walk on the lawn for shoots. However, if you wish to have it removed, I can do that. For shoots under ten hours, there is a small fee. For shoots ten hours and over, there is no fee. If possible, please let me know in advance.

This is THE closest house to the HOLLYWOOD sign, next to 4000 acres of Griffith Park. Once owned by the 60's band The Association ("Cherish", "Windy", "Never My Love"), this house is imbedded in Rock & Roll history. David Crosby was introduced to Graham Nash by Mama Cass at a party in this house. If you want everything shiny and new like The Four Seasons, you should book a room at The Four Seasons! This is a rustic, vintage A frame house built in 1963, photographed by Linda McCartney in 1967.
This Hollywood Sign Chalet is a fun, rustic Rock & Roll house featured in Linda McCartney's book, "The Sixties". Back then, Mama Cass lived next door. Unless you look at the amazing views, you hardly know you are in Los Angeles. You cannot hear the sounds of the city at all. The house has an indoor/outdoor feel with fresh air and breezes. There are 4000 acres of incredible hiking and horseback riding in Griffith park.

Other things to note:
In 2014, Moby photographed the house and wrote this in his blog:
"i was out hiking today and i came across this perfect little a-frame house.
whenever i see perfect a-frame houses i think of record producers in the mid 70’s reading about est and sitting in the hot-tub thinking about how best to record background vocals for the doobie brothers.
they seem quintessentially californian, the perfect home in which to make lentil stew for robert plant and melanie. which is odd. odd because with their super pitched roofs they’re designed for alpine climates where it snows 8 months out of the year. further re-inforcing the idea that almost all architectural vernacular in southern california is arbitrary. awesome, but arbitrary.
swiss chalets in a place where it never snows? down the street from normal castles and center hall new england colonials?
delirious los angeles."
