Located on a quarter acre in Eagle Rock, this classic home is an architectural gem. With a Mediterranean exterior and a Craftsman interior, it features stunning woodwork, crown molding, wainscoting, and beveled glass. The great room has tiger oak hardwood floors, high ceilings, and a splendid fireplace with century-old malibu tiles. In the expansive front yard there's a spectacular oak tree that's over two hundred years old. There's a secluded, tree-shaded back yard with a garden and a fountain, and a spiral staircase to heaven -- a rooftop patio with couches, hammocks, beautiful artwork, windchimes, and views of the San Gabriel mountains.
This hillside property is conveniently located and walkable to shops and restaurants. It is a 1950 bungalow with a small front yard and porch, large patio in the back and a hillside area accessed by a winding brick staircase.
The interior is a mix of mid-century contemporary in the front (living) room and mid-century old Hollywood in the back (dining) room; so it would be great for a contemporary location but could also function quite well for period requirements.
The front yard is populated with native plants. There is a lovely porch in front with Adirondack chairs and a potted plant. And there is ample sitting for party events in the front as the area over the garage is also a sitting area.
The kitchen is a light and bright galley style but relatively large - gas stove and stainless steel appliances. There is a view that overlooks the city across the way.
There is an office space that resembles a library with dark wood bookcases filled with books.
With regard to electronics, there is one record player in the living room.
In the back, there is a dining room table, outside bar and ample sitting areas along with a barbecue and small mobile fire pit. There is an herb garden and other flowers and plants throughout this level.
A brick staircase leads to a parklike environment with trees and views of the surrounding areas.
There is parking in the garage as well as street parking. For large events, the Eagle Rock Plaza has plenty of parking and there is also the possibility of parking on College View which intersects Loy Lane.
We have some production equipment, props and office equipment available for an extra fee. For any additional item you may require - let us know when you inquire about booking and we'll discuss options and pricing.

We took a 1920's Craftsman, stripped it down, vaulted the ceilings, added beams, doubled the size with a new extension and added lots of windows so it stays light and airy all day. We have a large backyard that's the most peaceful place in Highland Park, protected by large ficus trees that ring the perimeter and provide ultimate privacy. In addition to the house we have a separate 'pool house' that we turn into a tiki bar for parties.
Inside is ultra-modern with all new stainless steel appliances, ceramic flooring, large windows and glass sliding doors throughout. Everything within the house is one year old with all new interior systems. We have a large wall that surrounds the entire property and a private carport to fit two cars.
