Ransom was beyond helpful. The space was great, bright and the best props you could need for styling. Ransom also let us use their lighting which was really helpful. The space allowed for so much flexibility, it really was a great space for us.

Greate Space, Clean. Adina was clear and professional The Room had many features for playing Audio off the speakers and recording/zoom abilities that I did not use this time around but I can see how they will be great for future booking ideas.

I had my daughter's Prom send off here, nice size for small gatherings. Very clean and nice looking, in the beautiful area of Bronzeville. The owner Kevin and Ms. Elaine were so wonderful and accommodating and flexible. I will definitely book with Kevin again. The pricing was very affordable. Thank you Kevin.

About Unusual Wedding Venues

Unusual weddings provide a unique opportunity for couples and their guests to celebrate in an atmosphere that is both exciting and memorable. By combining traditional wedding elements with unexpected touches, planning an unusual wedding allows the couple to express their individual personalities while still respecting the time-honored traditions of marriage. Guests appreciate the distinctive atmosphere created by incorporating elements such as unusual decor, unique entertainment options, and interactive activities.

In addition to creating a fun, lively atmosphere, unusual weddings also give couples the chance to showcase meaningful items that are important to them. From incorporating family heirlooms into the decor and using meaningful songs for dances, to selecting a special location for the ceremony or reception, unusual weddings allow couples to add personal touches that create an even more special experience. Not only do these details make it easier for couples to express themselves but they also make for a truly remarkable wedding day. Additionally, because of their creative nature, unusual weddings can often be cost-effective compared to more traditional settings. Planning an unusual wedding gives couples and their guests the chance to enjoy a beautiful celebration without breaking the bank.

The Best Unusual Wedding Venues

An unusual wedding can be one of the most exciting and memorable ways to celebrate a union between two people. Instead of the traditional ceremony and reception, couples are opting for weddings that incorporate unique venues and activities. If you’re looking for an unforgettable venue to host your special day, consider one of these top unusual wedding venues:

  • Outdoor Venue
From beach ceremonies to mountaintop receptions, an outdoor venue allows couples to enjoy the beauty of nature while celebrating their commitment. Whether it’s a woodsy park or a stately vineyard, hosting your wedding outside is sure to create a romantic atmosphere for you and your guests.

  • Historic Building
Whether it’s a refurbished museum or an opulent castle, there’s no better way to add some glamor than by having your wedding on a historical site. With its grand architecture and ornate decor, any ancient building will make your special day look even more extraordinary.

  • Private Residence
From rustic barns to modern lofts, couples can select a private residence as the perfect place for their wedding. Not only do many homes offer luxurious amenities like swimming pools and attractive gardens, but they also provide couples with privacy without sacrificing any elegance or convenience.

  • Convention Center Space
A convention center is an ideal choice for couples who want to hold large-scale celebrations that offer modern conveniences and plenty of room for guests. Convention centers are known for their spaciousness; plus they have high-tech audio-visual equipment so you can easily display photos and videos from your big day on the big screen. Additionally, these types of venues have flexible plans so you can customize them as needed depending on how many people are attending the event.

What to Look for in Unusual Wedding Venues

Unusual wedding venues can help to create a unique and memorable experience for your special day. From quirky museums to off-the-beaten-path farms and gardens, there are many exciting places that can be used to host an unforgettable wedding. When choosing the perfect unusual venue, here are four important things to consider:

  • Location
Choosing the location for your special day is one of the most important decisions you have to make. Depending on the type of wedding you’re having, it’s worth thinking about how close it is to family and friends. Not only can this help keep travel costs down for those invited, but also means your loved ones will be able to share the joyous occasion with you. If you’re thinking about something a bit unusual for your wedding, like getting married in an exotic location or on top of a mountain, finding out if everyone can still attend should definitely be one of your top priorities.

  • Capacity
The size of the venue matters when it comes to hosting a large group of people on your special day. Make sure you're aware of how many people it can accommodate and that you have enough space for all your guests.

  • Amenities
Having the right amenities can make or break an event. Take for example a wedding — it's something that most people only experience once in their lives and should be special in every way. Even though a wedding is commonly associated with tradition and the old-fashioned, having access to modern amenities like air conditioning and parking spaces are still essential components. Good lighting can also help make up for any unexpected errors and moments of chaos, while having a fully equipped kitchen or catering service can make even the most unusual weddings go off without a hitch.

  • Atmosphere
Unusual venues often bring with them their own atmosphere, which can add a unique touch to your wedding day. Look at photos of past events at the location in order to get an idea of what it looks like and how well it fits with your overall theme or vision for the day.

Unusual Wedding Venue Inspiration

Throwing a wedding that stands out from the rest can be a difficult task. However, with some creative thinking and an open mind, you can create a unique and memorable unusual wedding. With these five ideas for unique themes and venues, you can make your special day one to remember.

  • Outdoor Setting
Have your wedding in an outdoor setting such as a beautiful garden or beach. You can choose to have it during sunrise or sunset for added beauty and romance.

  • Carnival Wedding
Create an unforgettable experience by hosting a carnival-themed wedding. Include fun activities like rides, games, food trucks, and more for added excitement.

  • Historical Venue
Take your guests back in time by having your ceremony in a historical building or landmark. From classic ballroom settings to charming churches, there is sure to be something perfect for your special day.

  • Grand Museum
Hosting your ceremony at a grand museum provides plenty of space for guests while creating an elegant atmosphere. Whether you are looking for art deco designs at an art museum or ancient artifacts at a natural history museum, this theme will leave lasting impressions on all of your guests.

  • Vintage Styled-Venue
If you’re looking for something classic yet unique, consider having your ceremony at a vintage-styled venue such as an old house or barn. Pair it with decorations to bring the theme alive, such as refurbished furniture and chandeliers from another era.
