— Lots of studios are located in old buildings and can be hard to find. Is yours?
Nope! We're a private unit, located literally right by the entrance of our building!
— Can I bring pets and babies?
Absolutely. Please just give us a heads up if you bring pets.
— Is there an elevator?
We have several elevators in our building.
The space features a unique, huge arched warehouse window as well as a floating cloud bed suspended from the ceiling, the only one in Downtown Toronto. Outfitted with plants and vintage, sound stable wood floors, the space also features built-in daylight panels in the ceiling, as well as midcentury and vintage furniture that changes. The space is ideal for photo shoots only.
The space is accessible by the King Streetcar. We have a washroom, full kitchen and also provide a steamer, small rolling rack, ladder, one 6ft folding table.

Welcome to the LIGHT FACTORY STUDIO! A 700 sq/ft. hard loft creators space located in Toronto’s historic east end. Originally a knitting and textile factory in the early 1900s, this industrial-age gem has changed several times since the Second World War to be home to a furniture company, a greeting card manufacturer, and a pant factory. In 1997, it was converted into live-work artist studios.
This brick + beam third floor walk-up has many unique features including 14’ ceilings, original hardwood floors, beautiful textured backgrounds, boho-vintage styling, and large industrial north-west facing windows making it ideal for that diffused golden-hour natural light.
Every corner and wall is a curated mini set with carefully selected items for you to arrange and rearrange however you want. This location is ideal for fashion, editorial, and portrait photography, along with commercial film shoots. But more than just a vibing photography studio, it's also your versatile multipurpose space that can fulfill almost any creative need. LIGHT FACTORY has affordable rates for everyone. Our minimal approach provides a staged, versatile room with a that offers amateur and pro shooters the ease to focus more on their craft and less on expensive studio rentals. Our prices are prorated based on the number of hours you book so the hourly rate lowers as the number of hours you book increases!
Because of the demand, weekends have a higher rate than weekdays. However everything is negotiable so don't hesitate to ask for something that doesn't fit your budget!

You provide the gear, we create the space...thats how it works. We are not a full service photography and equipment rental studio so make sure you pack EVERYTHING you need for your shoot. If there is any specific lighting you need, bring it. Otherwise the natural light is stunning!

Stunning ground floor heritage hard loft in downtown Toronto. Corner unit with SE exposure and 16 ft ceilings. Loft has exposed red & tan brick, dark hardwood floors, pharaonic windows (x4), a massive chalkboard, heaps of books, a plethora of plants, and tons of character. Space is ideal for:

$30 cash deposit. To be returned in full (in cash, on day of reservation) if space is booked.
If host is asked to sign a permit for film/photos to be monetized (ex: national commercial, prominent brands like Nike, etc.), extra fee may apply.
There is a daycare nearby. Kids are NOT playing outside Mon-Fri from 11:45-2:45 pm. Before and after that, kids may be heard playing outside.
Setup and tear down time must be factored in start/end time. To encourage guests to reserve accordingly and to minimize last minute OT requests, OT rates are:
* $45: extra 30 minutes
* $90: extra hour
CLEANING VS TAX FEE
$25 Cleaning fee covers TAXES/SITE FEES—NOT cleanup. Space is expected to be in the same condition guests received it (if not, cleaning fee to be applied).
Lighting equipment is NOT provided. There are, however, 2 pot lights and 3 lamps in the space.

Cozy luminous heritage studio located in St.Boniface. Suite includes hardwood floors painted white, crown moldings, high ceilings and the most spectacular light you’ve ever seen. Rental also includes use of iconic Wassily chair, seamless white backdrop, marble table for flat lays, and a variety of props for you to create your vision with.
This studio has the most incredible southwestern light. It’s bright and even lighting even on the cloudiest of days.

- Shoot set up and clean up must be done within your paid, allotted time. Any overtime will be charged as a full hour.

- No outdoor shoes on the third floor, please take them off and put them in the boot tray provided at the bottom of the stairs at the third floor entrance.

Located in the Arts District of Los Angeles, our live/work condo loft plus photography studio is an edgy mix of industrial architecture, with modern bohemian decor. Every inch is tastefully decorated and adds a sense of character and luxury to your photo / film production, meeting or event.
We are commercial photographers and creative directors by trade, so the space was designed by the two of us for maximum efficiency and attractive angles for productions.
Our loft's massive original factory windows face south by southwest and receive natural light all day long, with an extra burst of gorgeous sunlight in the late afternoon.
We have one of the most advanced smart home systems, with nearly every light controlled hands free with Alexa. Many can even be dimmed or changed to a different color. Likewise, we have a multi-room ambient music system with around a dozen speakers, all powered by Alexa.
Throughout the studio are faux and real plants, and the space can be modified slightly with our assistance to create entirely new looks.
Please inquire for rates on larger impact shoots that require furniture to be moved or other alterations to be made.
COVID-19 note: As a former CNA, I have experience and training sanitizing locations and you can be rest assured that our space receives deep cleaning and sanitation before and after every booking.
Surfaces are cleaned with either pure bleach, 70% alcohol or pure ammonia, including the doorbell and every handle/switch. Other items are sanitized with steam daily to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
