The Muted Loft is perfect for a wide range of genres, and thats what we love about it. When you walk in the room you are transported to another realm that only you can define. If you plan on booking during non-elevator hours, please pack accordingly and inform your team. SOUNDPROOF: -Our space has been insulated to help with outside noise HOWEVER it is not soundproof. *Please make proper arrangements if you plan on shooting any audio in the space. TIME: -Please be aware that your BOOKING TIME INCLUDES YOUR SET UP AND BREAK DOWN TIME as well. Please book accordingly to avoid any additional late fees or charges. **Your booking starts at the registered time regardless of if you are running late. This rule has NO EXCEPTIONS as there might be a booking right after yours which cannot be pushed back because of your tardiness. **If you are running late to your booking or need additional time than initially expected please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Highly recommend this space for short films. Tierney is very communicative and easy to work with. The price point is excellent for the quality of the location. Sound was surprisingly good, which is a huge plus for overnight shoots. Note: The elevator was closed during our slot, but we were able to pay the attendant $150 to come back at 4 AM to help us load out. Totally worth it for the smooth workflow.

At first, the site is daunting; the loft studio is located on the fifth floor of a warehouse in a dodgy area of Los Angeles. The parking is limited, the elevator has limited times of use, the stairwells are filthy. But once I arrived at the loft studio, I found the best natural lighting for indoor photography I've seen in any studio. There are large windows on the north and west walls, providing plenty of light, diffused by gauzy curtains for excellent soft light photography. I first saw the place as part of a group shoot and I so appreciated the natural light, I had to come back for my own photoshoot. I'm already planning more photoshoots there. Bonus: By signing a waiver, the daring not afraid of heights can use the fire escape for breathtaking outdoor shots, which includes the skyline of L.A. in the distance.

Great location. A little bit on the smaller side so I wouldn’t reckoned more than 15 ppl in the room. I came in the weekend and didnt request an elevator attendant before had so it was a little bit of a pain to get all our equipment upstairs but no worries
