Can't reco this place (and owner Eva) enough. Was perfect for our needs. Great communication and customer service. They're fellow filmmakers. Only watch out, as they say in listing, is that you must do one flight of stairs (wide), no elevator. We managed fine and loved the space for so many reasons.

Location was perfect. Gerry was really nice and accommodating. We shot on a weekend so there was no interference. There was plenty of space to load in/out with an elevator. There are also plenty of crafty/lunch options next to the location. Will definitely film there again if I ever need an office set again.

Planning your Italy-themed dream wedding? These ideas are sure to inspire you.

Italy-themed Wedding: The Best Venues

Italian-inspired wedding locations are second to none. Whether you're looking for a majestic villa with olive groves, a historic residence, or enchanting gardens for a romantic ceremony, you are sure to find it.

Historic Villa
Italy is home to many historic properties that serve as wedding locations. A common celebration spot and one of the best wedding venues for an Italian wedding is a historic mansion or a castle. Such historic villas usually come with lush gardens and breathtaking views. Each one has its own unique charm and rich history and provides the perfect romantic setting for an intimate wedding.

Private Beach Club
Some of the top wedding venues are beaches and beach clubs, and an Italian-inspired wedding search will surely bring you to some great beachside locations. Resembling the sandy beaches of Lake Garda and the Mediterranean Sea, a beach club is the ideal venue for an elegant and unforgettable wedding that will leave all your guests in awe.

Winery
If the lush rolling Tuscan hills and the Tuscan countryside are all you can think about, then the picturesque vineyards and a winery are the perfect venue to exchange your wedding vows. From wine and cheese tastings to stunning gardens and excellent photo-ops, wineries are the most charming Italian wedding venues.

What to Look for in Italy Wedding Venues

If you've decided on an Italian-inspired wedding, you already have an overall idea and know what to look for in a venue. For those who are still unsure, here are some excellent ideas about what to look for in venues suited to an Italy-themed wedding.

Italian Cuisine
If you pick a luxury hotel as your Italian wedding venue, Italian food will undoubtedly be on the menu. However, if you decide to rent catering, make sure they are aware of your Italian-inspired wedding theme so they can prepare the food accordingly. Think antipasto, pasta, ravioli, pizza, salads, and risotto paired with some fine Tuscan wine, limoncello, or Aperol Spritz, common Italian beverages served at Italian weddings.

Wedding Venue Amenities
Whether you are looking to rent a private garden, a rustic winery, or a top-notch restaurant, make sure that your Italian venue has all the amenities you need for the big day. Are you looking for elegant interiors and modern amenities? Or would you prefer a swimming pool and a panoramic terrace? Whichever type of venue you pick, consider important details such as AV system, catering, lighting, music, tables, chairs, and linens.

Surroundings
When planning your dream wedding, you want to make sure every detail has been well thought through, including the local attractions and surroundings. When it comes to Italian wedding venues, you'd like to be near a beach, a vineyard, or a historical attraction that reflects Italian heritage and culture. Make your guests feel like they are somewhere amid the rolling hills of Tuscany or the upscale area of Lake Como by picking the most authentic Italian wedding venue.

Get Creative With Your Italy Wedding Venue

An Italian-style wedding doesn't require a lot of brainstorming. But you can still get creative with the wedding venue you pick. These are excellent ideas to turn your ideal location and celebration into an unforgettable night and transport everyone to the magical Tuscany, Positano or Portofino.

Magical Venue and Impressive Decor
If you want your wedding to whisk everyone away to Italy, make sure to impress them from the start. You can easily achieve this with a welcoming board, a vintage car, or a Vespa out front. Serve the food in terracotta dinnerware, place flowers, olive branches, lemons, and scented candles as the centerpiece, and welcome your guests with aperitivo. A prosecco and a gelato station are also excellent touches for your dream destination wedding.

Italian-inspired Wedding Favors
Make your big day even more memorable with fun and unique wedding favors, such as small, hand-painted bottles of limoncello, extra virgin olive oil, scented candles or soaps, Italian cookies, and more. You can also opt for a basket full of Italian-inspired goodies that your guests will certainly appreciate.

Fun Photo Backdrop
Your Italian-style wedding should have an Italian-inspired backdrop. Think of adding a Vespa, woven baskets, wooden signs, string lights, olive branches, and anything else that will bring you closer to the most romantic destination in the world.

Italy Wedding Checklist

Planning a wedding can be very stressful, but there are some things you can do to make it run as smoothly as possible. It's easy to take a breather with this easy-to-follow wedding-planning checklist.

Pick the Perfect Location
There are so many beautiful wedding venues out there, but when it comes to an Italian-inspired wedding, you have to dig a little deeper to find the right one. Perhaps you prefer a villa with magnificent gardens or a countryside location with breathtaking views. Don't forget to check equipment, amenities and catering and make sure your venue has whatever you need to make it feel like it's a romantic wedding in Italy.

Make the Guest List
A guest count is important to decide the size of the venue, the table setup, party favors and food. Make sure you send RSVP invitations ahead of time so you can plan accordingly. The table setup is also important if you have individual tables, as you have to take into consideration the people sitting together.

Choose your Cake
If you want your cake to match your Italian-style wedding, opt for a traditional Italian cake which is a millefoglie or thousand layer cake. The flavors of wedding cakes in Italy are usually coffee, Nutella, strawberries and chocolate, but you can easily arrange that with your pastry chef.

Italy Wedding Inspiration

An Italian-style wedding is all about love, romance, and passion, and all these have to be breathed into every detail of the wedding venue as you say yes to the love of your life. Use these tips to get inspired and create the perfect start to "a happily ever after."

A Luxury Venue
A luxury venue could be a private estate, a 5-star hotel, a luxury villa, or a banquet hall. Given their size, grandeur and open space, they are some of the best Italian wedding venues and the perfect setting for your new beginning.

Rustic Barn Wedding Celebrations
Barns, vineyards, and the beautiful countryside easily evoke a taste of Tuscany. Italian-inspired wedding parties are romantic even without the charming rustic setting, but a barn can add that extra touch. Think fairy lights, a colorful photo backdrop, simple rustic decoration, traditional Tuscany dishes and fine Tuscan wine and barns and wineries become some of the best Italy wedding venues.

Traditional Banquet Hall
Banquet halls are the most popular event venues, whether you are celebrating a prom, a christening, or a wedding. Turn your banquet hall into a gorgeous Italian-style wedding venue with authentic decoration, table setup and linen, and, of course, Italian-themed props.

On-the-sand Celebration
Say yes by the beach, be it in a beach club, a beach villa, or the actual beach. It's easy to get inspired by the sea and plan your dream wedding. Some of the best wedding venues Italy offers for beach lovers include Lake Como, Lake Garda, Sicily, and Amalfi Coast.

Head to Italy for Your Honeymoon

If you can't have your wedding in Italy, make it your honeymoon destination. There are so many locations to choose from, it will be hard to pick one. From the charming Lake Como and the beautiful terraced gardens at the 16th-century Villa d'Este in Tivoli to the luxurious Belmond Hotel in Florence, it's easy to make your honeymoon in Italy unforgettable.

Plan a trip to Rome for some sightseeing and soak up the romance at the most romantic spots in the world, like the Trevi Fountain, the Villa Borghese Gardens, and the Spanish Steps.

A popular post-wedding getaway and one of the most romantic places in Italy, Verona is a must-see, especially Juliet's House, the Verona Arena, and the beautifully manicured 16th-century gardens of the Giardino Giusti.

Food and wine lovers will have the best honeymoon in Tuscany. Vineyards, wineries, delicious food, charming medieval towns, and the picturesque countryside are all you need for the perfect honeymoon getaway.
