This space is absolutely lovely and super spacious. With an upstairs and downstairs living area you could theoretically stage it as two homes with just one location. The outdoor pool provided wonderful scenery for our shoot and the home owners couldn't have been lovelier. I absolutely recommend.

Super easy and efficient shoot! The space had lots of props and backgrounds to work with, so we were able to get a lot of variety.

Our experience here was incredible. Gisela and Tre were extremely helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our cast and crew. Even going above and beyond helping with production where they could. The lighting and sound setup here is very well done. Our shoot was a success and we’re very happy we booked this spot.

Great space. There was furniture that we used for our shoot as well. Was not hard to find, and on site sme either made sure everyone was comfortable. Smooth transaction and great price! Would recommend!

It has been my second time here! Fortunately there is a split AC inside, so our stay was comfortable as always.

This space was easy to book with excellent communication and very thorough details regarding entry, AC, lighting and parking. The location was very clean, as were the restrooms. We were filming stylized close-up shots of props for a documentary. We were not recording sound, but we noted the space was very quiet for most of the day had we wanted to record sound. We would definitely return to this space.

Find Affordable Wedding venues

Your wedding day is one of the biggest days of your life—but it can also be one of the most expensive. It doesn't have to be that way, however, as it's possible to plan a beautiful and sophisticated wedding on a tight budget. Keep reading to learn how to find an affordable wedding venue that will help put a smile on your face, a ring on your finger, and more money in your pocket.

The Best Affordable Wedding Venues

Many of the most popular spaces come with a hefty price tag. But you don't just have to go down to your local city hall and tie the knot to save money on your nuptials. Here are some affordable wedding venue types you can choose without blowing your wedding budget.

Public Parks
Take your nuptials outdoors to a pretty public park. Outdoor spaces can be much cheaper to hire than glamorous indoor venues, but they still provide a memorable setting for an intimate wedding.

Hotel Function Rooms
They may seem a little impersonal at first, but there's a lot to like about hosting your wedding in a hotel function room. These venues come with experienced event staff, easy access to on-site catering and bartending, and they can be tailored to suit your theme. And because there's plenty of competition, it's easy to find an affordable venue.

Backyards
If you want your special day to be a simple affair, what better way to tie the knot than with a sophisticated backyard wedding? Even the humblest of spaces can be completely transformed with some creative decorative touches, making it easy to keep the guest list short and costs down.

Farms
One great thing about rural settings is that venue hire is always cheaper than in the big city. If you want a rustic, country-style feel for your wedding, why not host it at a farm? You can walk down the aisle in a pretty field, or maybe say "I do" in a barn that oozes old-world charm.

What to Look for in Affordable Wedding Venues

Choosing a wedding venue isn't something you can rush. The space you choose will play a big part in setting the tone for your wedding, so you need to compare a wide range of options before deciding on the right one. Here's what you should consider when shopping around.

Price
The first thing you should do is set your budget. Once you know how much you can spend on venue hire, start looking for wedding venues in your price range.

Ambiance
Every wedding venue has its own distinctive atmosphere, vibe, or whatever you want to call it. The space you choose should offer the ambiance you want for your wedding day. Remember, it may not be immediately apparent at first sight, but picture how it will look with some creative decorative and floral touches.

Location
The best wedding space for you will be easily accessible for you and your guests. Look for things like public transport access, private parking, and nearby accommodation options for guests from out of town. And if the reception will be at a different venue to the ceremony, make sure it'll be easy to move between the two locations.

Size
You may have found a beautiful wedding venue that's perfectly priced, but does it suit the size of your guest list? A space too small can be cramped and uncomfortable, but a space too large can take the atmosphere out of a room.

Key Amenities
Does the venue have all the facilities you need to make your wedding day a success? Does it have a dance floor? Are there on-site locations that will make for great photos? Are there enough bathrooms? Is there a kitchen area on-site for food preparation? Is there room for a band to set up? Your must-haves will depend on the type of event you're planning, so create a checklist of what you need.

Host
The best wedding or reception venue will have a host who is friendly and helpful. They'll also be willing to work with you to transform the event space to suit your needs.

Get Creative With Your Affordable Wedding Venue

Wedding venue not quite perfect? The good news is that with a little bit of creative thinking, you can create the wedding of your dreams.

Flowers are the perfect place to start. The right floral arrangements will not only suit your dress and your personality, they will also add color and beauty to the space. You can call on a local florist to help get the arrangements just right, or do it yourself if that suits your budget better.

There are several other decorative touches you can add to get the space just right. Archways can provide the perfect backdrop for your nuptials. Use balloon arches, linens, and table centerpieces—it's all about creating the look you desire.

Next, contact party rental companies to see if they offer any equipment you should hire for your affordable venue. You might want chairs for seating at an outdoor wedding, lighting to help set the mood, audio equipment to help with speeches and toasts, or some party games to entertain guests.

Affordable Wedding Checklist

You're on a tight budget, so hiring a wedding planner is out of the question. But this checklist will help you remember some key tasks you need to tackle.

Set a Budget
Set your budget first and break it down into how much you can spend on venue hire, catering, entertainment, equipment rentals, and other major expenses.

Create a Guest List
Who do you want to share your special day with? Be sure to get the invitations sent out early so no one misses out.

Choose a Venue
Next, compare affordable wedding venues on sites like Giggster. Check images and property descriptions, then arrange to inspect your favorite locations in person before booking.

Book Catering
The food is one of the things all guests will remember about your wedding. Choose a caterer that offers budget-friendly menus, and work with them to choose a package that will treat your taste buds as well as your hip pocket.

Book Entertainment
Will you have a live band, a string quartet, or a DJ at your wedding? Get in early to make sure you can book the people you want.

Hire Equipment
Make a list of any extra equipment or supplies you need to hire for the big day, then hire what you need from a trusted party rental company.

Breathe!
It's a very special occasion, so try not to get caught up in the stress of planning. Take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy yourself.

Affordable Wedding Inspiration

Check out wedding blogs to find wedding party inspiration, and use the following ideas as inspiration for your big day.

Beach Wedding
What could be more beautiful than a sunny seaside wedding? Sun on your shoulders, sand between your toes, the wind in your hair, and the love of your life by your side—beach weddings are simple, scenic, and intimate.

Garden Wedding
A garden wedding offers a simple way to keep venue costs down. It also offers a relaxed and intimate setting, with lush foliage and pretty flowers in bloom, creating a private and romantic space.

Barn Wedding
A charming barn can double as an affordable wedding venue with a rustic feel. Barns are often historic buildings that once served an important purpose, but they can be easily converted into gorgeous wedding locations.

Museum Wedding
Libraries and museums offer a quirky and unique setting for weddings. You might think it'd be hugely expensive to book out an entire venue, but this type of wedding location can often be had for a more affordable price than you might expect.

Questions to Ask When Booking an Affordable Wedding Venue

There's so much to consider when choosing a wedding venue that it can be hard to know where to start. Asking these four questions will help you work out how to decide if a venue is right for you.

Is the venue available when we want it?
The best venues are also the most popular and often book out well in advance, so make sure you can secure the space on the date you want. If you've got your heart set on a wedding venue, you may have to be flexible about your wedding date.

How many hours can we reserve the venue for?
Find out how long you get the venue for when you pay the quoted price. Can you reserve it for additional hours by paying extra?

Do you have a list of vendors you work with (and do we have to use them)?
Check whether the venue has a list of recommended vendors for catering, floral arrangements, entertainment, and so on. Are you required to use those vendors as part of the venue's wedding packages, or can you bring in your own providers to the wedding venue?

Are there any noise or decor restrictions?
Find out whether there are any restrictions in place at event spaces that might stop you having the event you want. Can you decorate the space however you like? Will you need to keep noise levels to a minimum outside specific hours?
