Located in the heart of Kensington Market, this Victorian Century home has been converted into an open concept venue. It features a 400 sq ft front yard with lots of foot traffic, over 1400 sq ft of indoor space, and a 700 sq ft back yard.
The main floor is split into two rooms, the Light Room and the Dark Room. Custom French doors can separate or open up the main floor as desired.
The Light Room boasts 10 foot high ceilings and bay windows facing Kensington Ave. It comes with a built in Bar with two fridges, 2-compartment sink, hand washing sink, ice maker, espresso machine, and microwave. Bar table is portable and can be placed anywhere in the room.
The Dark Room comes with a state-of-the-arts speaker and lighting system. A set of 600 watt speakers, projector, 2 wireless microphones, and control panel with multiple inputs. Perfect for presentations, events, live music, and parties. Our tube lighting system has over 500 pre-built lighting effects. It is set up with a ceiling hook design, allowing you to create whatever lighting design you envision. The room also has 15 RGB spot lights, 9 RGB Recessed lights, a built in RGB electric fireplace, and antique cast iron fireplace on wheels with built in fog machine.
The basement features 2 washrooms, a lounge or green room with built-in makeup mirror, seating, coat rack, customizable RGB Lighting, and LED cloud ceiling.
Heating and cooling available all seasons.
Camera equipment rentals, A/V technician, event tapings are also available at an additional cost.
2 parking spots available in the back. Street parking is free after 6pm on Kensington Ave and free after 9pm on Dundas. There is also a Parking Garage a block away on St. Andrew with very reasonable rates.
Furniture with the booking include 4 folding tables (1 6ft, 2 5ft, 1 4ft), 8 bar stools, 6 Director chairs, 5 arm chairs, 4 stools, and portable bar table. Extra furniture can be rented out from an external company.
The unique features within this venue create a versatile setup for events, photo and video shoots, concerts, private functions, pop up stores, small weddings, shows, presentations, workshops, and more.
* For parties of 40-60, 1 security personnel must be added as an ad-on. For parties of 60+, 3 security personnel are required. Guest list must be provided prior to your event.
** A Special Occasions Permit (SOP) is required for all events with alcohol present. Please make sure to apply and acquire your license before the event at the AGCO website.
