The space ended up working well for our shoot and host was communicative and helpful. However, docking a star because the opening hours on the listing are quite misleading. The host let me know after I inquired that they only actually allow filming after work hours or on the weekend, which is not what the listing says. Also, although we booked the 4 hour minimum, the host said they have a minimum payment of $2,750 (although the rate listed is $500/hour).

Amazing location with lots of great setup options. The team was so easy to work with and extremely responsive, professional and flexible. The building is easily accessible and has free parking, which was an added bonus. Having to find a PT office for a shoot was such a challenge, and this place was exactly what we needed. Would absolutely book again.

About Therapies

Therapy rooms are places of refuge where peace and the soul converge in the context of personal well-being. These are sacred spaces where visitors disconnect from the noise of everyday existence and fully participate in the healing activities that are subtly woven throughout each occasion. Both therapists and event coordinators carefully select these settings because they understand how much therapy and development may be enhanced by the ideal environment.

These therapy activities are carefully planned adventures led by the profound understanding that the environment has a tremendous impact on the human psyche. They are not just meetings. The therapy involves a combination of expression and contemplation. The environment is calm, visually pleasing, and free of outside noise.

Beautiful, energizing, and frequently filled with natural light, these areas are valued by both hosts and visitors for their capacity to promote an environment of vulnerability and openness. In this place, participants experience a gentle retreat where the mind and emotions can find calm and renewal.

The Best Therapy Spaces

Encouraging healing and comfort for both the host and the guests is a major consideration when designing the ideal therapy area. While each therapy space caters to different therapeutic requirements and preferences, they all offer special benefits and considerations.

  • Traditional Offices
The traditional therapy office provides a professional and structured environment for counseling sessions. It often includes comfortable seating, calming decor, and essential amenities such as tissues and water. This setting offers a sense of confidentiality and formality, which can be comforting for some clients. However, it may feel less inviting or relaxing compared to more unconventional settings.
  • Nature-Inspired Retreat Spaces
Creating a therapy space in natural surroundings, such as a garden, park, or woodland area, offers a soothing and tranquil backdrop for therapeutic activities. The connection with nature can promote relaxation and mindfulness, fostering a sense of peace and well-being. On the downside, weather conditions and potential distractions from outdoor elements may pose challenges.
  • Artistic and Creative Studios
Art therapy rooms are designed to stimulate creativity and self-expression through the use of art supplies, drawing materials, and crafting tools. These spaces encourage clients to explore their emotions and thoughts through artistic means, making it ideal for individuals who find solace in creativity. However, some clients may feel intimidated by the pressure to create art, impacting their comfort in the space.
  • Versatile and Interactive Playrooms
Play therapy rooms are specifically tailored to engage children and promote expression through play-based activities. These spaces are equipped with toys, games, and interactive tools to facilitate communication and emotional exploration. While play therapy rooms are highly effective for younger clients, they may require additional maintenance and cleaning due to the presence of toys and props.

What to Look for in Therapy Spaces

Certain core elements are crucial to providing a conducive environment for growth and healing when seeking an ideal therapy space, whether for psychological counseling, group workshops, or holistic wellness events. Here's what to look for:

  • Size and Capacity
The therapy area should comfortably accommodate all participants while allowing enough space for individual reflection or group activities. Ensure there’s room for ample seating, any necessary equipment, and free space for exercises that might be a part of the therapy process.
  • Layout and Privacy
A layout that promotes a sense of safety and confidentiality is vital in a therapy setting. Private rooms for one-on-one sessions, soundproofing, and areas that offer a tranquil atmosphere away from external distractions aid in maintaining a therapeutic ambiance.
  • Style and Atmosphere
The aesthetic of a therapy space significantly impacts an individual's ability to relax and open up. Soft colors, natural lighting, and minimalist decor can contribute to a calming environment, whereas vibrant and varied textures might be stimulating for creative therapy workshops.
  • Inclusive Services and Amenities
High-quality therapy spaces are equipped with amenities that support the therapeutic process. This can include comfortable furniture, audio-visual equipment for guided sessions, accessibility features for guests with different needs, and resources such as a library of therapeutic materials or a relaxation area.

Therapy Spaces Inspiration

Therapeutic encounters provide sanctuaries for rejuvenation and dialogue, and the environment deeply influences the healing journey. Visualize your reprieve in familiar or novel settings.

  • Therapies in a Local Community Center
Within the subdued warmth of a local community center, group therapy takes on a comforting feel. A circle of chairs invites open conversation, and walls adorned with calming artwork spark dialogue and deep introspection. Such a space cultivates an aura of shared experiences, providing solace in the collective pulse of community healing.
  • Therapies in a Garden Retreat
Alternatively, envision a tranquil garden retreat, where individual therapy unfolds amid nature's whispered symphony. Rustling leaves set the rhythm for heart-to-heart chats, and benches by a serene pond become the seats of self-discovery. Perfect for mindfulness sessions, this setting allows the soul to speak amidst the serenity of fluttering wildlife and fragrant flora.
  • Bookshop Therapies
Transform a cozy bookshop into an intimate haven for bibliotherapy sessions. Interwoven, the wisdom of countless tomes, tales, and healing merge seamlessly. Soft lighting facilitates a relaxed exchange, while the scent of books instills a sense of comfort and timeless connection with knowledge and stories of resilience.
  • Beachside Encounters
Consider the boundless possibilities of a beachside encounter, where the rhythm of waves harmonizes with the cadence of couples therapy. A peaceful sea breeze complements heartfelt conversations, encouraging couples to connect emotionally with the horizon as their witness.
  • Therapies in a Renovated Warehouse
Lastly, step into the unconventional – a renovated warehouse, where vast, open space sets the stage for creative art therapy events. Lofty ceilings and raw, exposed features juxtapose with the intimacy of creation, expression, and the union of individuality within the community.
