Beautiful space. The security at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Note that this space is a little small, so pack light on any equipment.

The space looks exactly like the photos: bright, with high ceilings and a lot of furniture and props to move around to your liking, including blinds that help change the light in the space. The host lives in the unit which in many ways, makes it feel more comfortable as a home - it's not a lifeless rental space. She offered coffee and left mints in the main washroom for folks to freshen up. Overall, it was a friendly experience.

Incredible place for filming. Although we didn't use the outdoor space it allowed for incredible natural light as well as a space for us to put lights to enhance the light coming in. The place is decorated immaculately so that every shot is visually stunning. Some of my favorite shots of the film were taken in this space simply because of how the space is designed. Also, Zoe was amazing to work with.

Beautiful brownstone apartment in a popular area of NYC! We had plenty of backgrounds to choose from for our photoshoot. The outdoor space is an added bonus and it gets tons of natural light. Host was kind and easy to communicate with.

This loft is fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone. It was every bit as stylish as it looks in the photos as well as being spacious and easy to work in. The host was quick to communicate and easy to work with. On the day of the shoot she showed us how to use the heat and wifi, and then left us alone to do our photoshoot. We were doing head shots and short speaking parts with a team of 7 plus talent coming and going and didn't have any issues at all with the loft or the building. There's a nice variety of light and space throughout so we able to shoot more setups than we originally anticipated which was great. Overall, no complaints at all and I would definitely recommend.

I booked this space last minute for a photoshoot for a client’s project and it did not disappoint. Reka’s space is perfect for photoshoots. She has ample room for a large production set up and breakdown, enough outlets, a place for a green room, and a kitchen space that can provide ample snacks for production. She’s also great to work with, letting us come a bit early to set up and even providing some feed back when we ran into some of our own difficulties. I highly recommend this space for photography and am looking forward to using it for other project.

The team at the West Village Mansion were flexible, helpful, supportive and very accommodating! The team provided access prior to our shoot date on multiple occasions for tech scouts, which was vital for our small production. From the bookers to the fantastic cleaning staff, who were kind and meticulous. The whole space was protected with ram board prior to arrival for an easy load in, with onsite support on the day for any last minute questions. Thanks to Jon, Olga & Nick.

Reka & her Loft / Photo Studio in the heart of Soho are incredible. Her response was swift and she answered any questions I had promptly! This is an amazing space- great lighting throughout the day- unique furniture and plenty of room to work/ move around. I used it for a photography project and we were able to accomplish a ton of varied shots and content. It’s truly a great, large, well furnished space plus photo studio. Everything is easily movable and you can create a great variation of looks and feels. I can’t wait to book this space again!

About Study Space

Study spaces are places where people come together to share knowledge and learn from each other. They are also quiet places for personal thinking. Increased by comfortable furniture, sufficient lighting, and reliable technology, these dedicated study spaces promote focus and minimize interruptions.

Event hosts and planners will welcome the flexibility of these bookable study spaces for a variety of events, from academic seminars to cooperative work sessions. Because they are so focused on their work or conversation, participants frequently value the calm atmosphere and the subtle energy of group effort. These attractive group study spaces become more valuable and comfortable when high-speed internet, audio-visual equipment, and refreshment areas are available.

Library study spaces are intellectual havens where leaders and students can pursue greatness, have deep conversations, and become motivated. Library users will particularly appreciate the group study rooms available at various library sites. So, next time you need a place to focus, don't hesitate to book a study space and immerse yourself in an environment designed for productivity and inspiration.

The Best Events for Study Spaces

Book Club Meetups and Author Readings

Imagine a peaceful area turned into a hive of literary conversation where everyone passionately analyzes character arcs and story turns. Study spaces are perfect for book club meetings, where readers can interact with books together because of their bibliophilic atmosphere. Even more transforming the space, these library study spaces can be used for author readings in which words go straight from the writer's head to the ears of the audience.

Keep the group study space academically appropriate, and provide non-alcoholic drinks and snacks during discussions or readings to keep participants engaged. Having the right space, such as a well-equipped study desk during the exam period, is crucial for maintaining focus and productivity.

Educational Workshops and Seminars

Education is a study area's natural function, and what better approach to celebrate this than by planning seminars and workshops in bookable study spaces? Such a setting can find a ready audience for subjects as varied as coding, stress management, startup entrepreneurship, and creative writing.

While well-positioned props like projectors and whiteboards in study centres might enable a practical experience, interactive sessions in a group study room could break up the monotony with group exercises. Though the atmosphere in most study spaces is usually understated, staging or lighting effects in the study space could excite the audience during the main events.

Cultural Exchange Evenings

Like a group study room, study areas can become a hub for cross-cultural activities, celebrating the diverse community of learners. Through language practice games, quizzes, and cross-cultural conversations, individuals may fully immerse themselves in many cultures and acquire different viewpoints where they often look for information alone.

Traditional music or decorations can be included in events without compromising academic integrity. Checking the availability of such space on the same day can encourage more spontaneous and engaging interactions.

Focus Groups and Think Tanks

Focus groups and think tanks can use the concentration-promoting environment of study spaces to address complex issues or generate creative ideas, therefore releasing the full intellectual potential of a study room. To promote a laid-back but productive environment, these cooperative sessions in group study rooms can very well incorporate breakout sessions with light background music and catered finger appetizers.

Here, the utilization of modular furnishings generates lively group study environments ready for collaboration and proper conversation without distracting from the evening's goals.

What to Look for in Study Spaces

Accessibility and Accommodations

Assure everyone in attendance—including those with disabilities—that they can utilize the study space. Part of this involves seeking places with ramps, elevators, and appropriately sized restrooms. The location should also be easily reachable by public transit or have enough parking available to minimize the hassle of travel and maximize study time.

Connectivity and Power Supply

In today's digital age, having enough power outlets and a smooth internet connection are essential. Seek out areas with many electrical outlets to support laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices, as well as robust Wi-Fi signals. This will help keep output steady without interrupting a low internet connection or battery drain.

Lighting and Furniture

Proper lighting is essential to reducing eye strain, especially while studying for extended periods of time. Reading and writing environments should have well-placed ceiling lights or access to natural light. Moreover, ergonomic and cosy furniture promoting excellent posture can help you avoid physical pain and increase your concentration.

Ambiance and Style

The general atmosphere and design of the room immensely impact how motivated and in a good mood the people are. Studying in a peaceful, quiet, and well-designed space can help one focus and reduce distractions. Certain places have quiet areas or private rooms that are great for individuals or groups to do in-depth work.

How to Make Study Event Better

Optimize Your Layout: Your study area's floor plan is a quiet conductor of flow and concentration. A circular or semi-circular seating arrangement fosters a welcoming and participatory environment that gives everyone fair access to conversations. Make sure this configuration also makes movement easy so that people may engage in uninterrupted interaction, encouraging dynamic cooperation and exchange.

Master the Lighting: Eye strain is avoided, and attentiveness is maintained in well-lit areas, although the quality of light is critical. Often, the most pleasant light is soft and natural. When that's not possible, though, go for warm, diffused artificial lighting that simulates the calm of the day. The idea is to design a bright room without the harshness that might be uncomfortable for long periods.

Cultivate Silence and Sound: While learning does best in quiet, participation sometimes requires effort. Create spaces where people are encouraged to interact while providing silent zones for those needing them. Consider using sound-insulating materials or partitions to buffer the study areas and promote the free flow of ideas without overpowering the senses.

Comfort Meets Aesthetics: Study rooms often underestimate the importance of physical comfort. Chairs should provide firm support and be adaptable for long-term use. These features, combined with inspiring aesthetic elements such as artwork, plants, or themed decor, can engage the senses without being overly distracting. Comfort and beauty are both essential for nurturing the desire to study and create.

Technology at Your Fingertips: Lastly, in a modern digital era, keeping people engaged and productive mostly depends on their availability to technology. Check that there are power outlets and a dependable high-speed internet connection nearby. If you can, add cutting-edge equipment that is easy to use and helps with research and presentations. Technology that simplifies life should be subtle, offering control without dominating.
