The space was beautiful! Elettra was a great host and the space was exactly as photographed. The only thing holding me back from leaving 5 stars is the loading/unloading procedures. Our team had a lot of equipment, and we had to go down exterior stairs, through a basement, and up a service elevator in order to get in.

Beautiful brownstone apartment in a popular area of NYC! We had plenty of backgrounds to choose from for our photoshoot. The outdoor space is an added bonus and it gets tons of natural light. Host was kind and easy to communicate with.

Tips on How to Organize Film Shoots at Study Spaces in New York

New York is a bustling and vibrant spot. It can be a veritable challenge to film around its busy study spaces. Here are some tips to help you out:

  • Research the regulations for filming in the study spaces you’re interested in using, as each may have different restrictions and require approval from the facility management. Ensure you also look into any special permits your production may need to secure before shooting.
  • Get the necessary permissions before beginning filming. Reach out to the study space's local community board or government authority if needed.
  • Contact the facilities managers of each location to check on their availability for your shoot days and times. Discuss what you need and make sure that they understand the scope of work so there won't be any surprises down the line.
  • Book any required equipment in advance to avoid last-minute hassles. Consider renting studio lights or sound appliances.
  • Have contingency plans and emergency contacts throughout the shoot should any unforeseen issues arise.

Famous Locations in New York

  • 6 1/2 Avenue: Manhattan's Secret Street
6 1/2 Avenue is one of Manhattan's best-kept secrets. Nestled between the more famous roads of 6th and 7th Avenues, its signposts were only officially erected in 2012. Though largely unknown to many visitors, it has long been well-liked among midtown workers seeking a shortcut off the beaten path. Indeed, while 5th Avenue, Madison, Park, and The Avenue of the Americas may be some of Manhattan's most illustrious streets, 6 1/2 Avenue proves there is always something new to discover in this sprawling city.
  • Cranford Rose Garden
Brooklyn Botanical Garden's iconic Cranford Rose Garden is a sight to behold come June. An estimated 5,000 wild species of roses are on full show amongst flower beds, arches, and pavilions for visitors to admire, creating one of the largest displays in North America. This remarkable greenery has been a popular attraction since it opened over ninety years ago and continuously captures the hearts of those that visit.
  • Big John’s Pond
While at first glance, this pond is lacking compared to its big brother, West Pond, on closer inspection, it proves to have some unique features of its own. One such attraction is the duck blind, a bird watcher's paradise fit for spying out the most extensive range of feathery creatures. Nearby, barn owls love to make themselves at home amongst the wooden nesting boxes for part of the year. And so even though it does seem small, the spot shouldn't be discounted as one of nature's most fabulous havens.
