This location is extremely versatile. The giant windows and sky roof’s sprinkled throughout the building offer tons of beautiful natural light. The interior design of the office gives you plenty to work with in terms of production design — the furniture is so unique! We didn’t have to bring in extra set dressing except for tabletop props and accents. Otherwise, the space does all the work for you! This office can work both as a modern corporate vibe or as a startup depending on how you frame it. We chose a blend of the two and it worked nicely. The space is quiet for running audio, but definitely check the calendar of events for DTLA before booking if you’re going to run sound. There was a car parade one of the mornings of our shoot that lasted a couple of hours and because we were filming in a room closest to the street, we had to really dodge the honking horns and parade noise. Once we moved out of the room, even though the parade was still going on we didn’t have any sound issues, but if I had thought to look that up I would’ve changed my shooting schedule a bit to avoid the noise. It still worked out in the end, but worth looking into if you’re going to shoot primarily in the offices closest to the street! In terms of production logistics, the back entrance to the building is in a wide alleyway which makes loading and unloading gear easy. For bigger productions, the only caveat is even if you pay for posted parking in the area (which takes more time than a standard permit because LA has to move these giant planters and get approval to do so), you’ll still have to unload your gear and then re-park your trucks in the posting. You can’t leave your trucks in the alleyway, otherwise, you could/will probably get a ticket for staying parked back there. Because the space has so much natural lighting, unless you’re trying to shoot something extremely stylized with excess specialty lighting, a 1-ton G&E package is plenty. We unloaded all our production supplies and G&E package in about an hour and re-parked without any issue. There’s a Joes Auto Park that is a short walk to the back alley entrance that’s $20.00 a car. We parked our sprinter vans there for convenience. Aside from that, there’s a cheaper lot that’s about $8.00 a car. It’s a slightly longer walk but more affordable. Whether it’s a big production or a smaller one, I would definitely make a parking map — my crew was about 15, and the map I made saved a lot of confusion. Edward and Eva are great location hosts and are also filmmakers themselves, so they understand the workflow which is a luxury! They really let us really turn the space into our home for two days. If you shoot here, please take care of it! It’s one of those locations that should be enjoyed by many.

What an absolutely gorgeous space! I made a booking for myself, one actor, and our camera guy to shoot a small scene here in the conference room. Sara was so accommodating when me and my camera guy showed up a little early to our appointment. She gave us a tour (the building has a rich history and is so interesting! It's really beautiful), and everything went really well with our little shoot. I can't say enough good things about the Rita House

The Best Events for Creative Office Spaces

Furthermore, the facility has state-of-the-art technology and appliances that can accommodate all types of presentations or video conferencing requirements, if applicable.

  • Team Building Workshop
Team building workshops help strengthen communication and collaboration between coworkers, while also letting them learn more about each other. A creative office space is also suitable for this kind of activity, as it provides a tranquil and comfortable vibe that encourages participation and thoughtful discussions. Moreover, the spot may have several different meeting spaces that can be tailored to fit the specific needs of any group size. From brainstorming sessions to problem-solving exercises, the office is well-suited for such gatherings.

  • Company Launch Event

Large creative offices will also have several breakout areas designed specifically for focused conversations.

What to Look for in Creative Office Spaces

  • Location
When picking an office venue for hosting events, it is crucial to contemplate its location. A venue that is conveniently placed near public transportation and parking options is ideal. Furthermore, a spot located in an area with heavy foot traffic and visibility may be beneficial for promoting the affair and drawing in more attendees.

  • Size
The venue's size should also be considered when selecting an office space for events. Choose an area that is large enough to fit all your participants comfortably, but not so large as to make the event seem empty. It is beneficial to have a variety of areas availablesuch as separate breakout rooms for different activities during the occasion.

  • Amenities
When choosing an office setting for occasions, think about what amenities are included. Venues that offer necessities such as tables and chairs, audiovisual equipment, or catering services will save you time and money spent on supplementary purchases or rentals. Additional resources such as Wi-Fi access and onsite staff are also beneficial.

  • Flexibility
Creative office venues should also be assessed based on their openness to space modification. Opting for a venue that can allow some degree of customization can help ensure that it meets your vision and that guests’ needs are met.

How to Organize Successful Events at Creative Office Spaces

  • Develop a creative theme
An event can be made memorable by providing a fun and exciting vibe. Choose something meaningful to your team, or pick an exciting concept that relates to the purpose of the gathering. This gives guests something to look forward to and will produce a more engaging atmosphere.

  • Include interactive elements
Adding interactive components to your office space event can make it more enjoyable and confirm everyone’s participation. Some examples are game stations, trivia questions, and photo booths where team members can take wacky pictures with their colleagues.

  • Make use of technology wisely
Technology may be used to generate an immersive experience for your guests. Try setting up multiple TV screens with visuals related to the event’s topic, integrating virtual reality activities, or simply allowing guests access to Wi-Fi during the event.

  • Add personalized touches
Small touches that reflect the particular interests of employees in your company will make it feel like they are being celebrated and appreciated. This could mean providing snacks from each person’s home country or playing their favorite songs.

  • Ensure all logistics are taken care of before the event
Make sure that catering, beverages, seating arrangements, audiovisual equipment for presentations, etc., are all accounted for before the start of the occasion to prevent hiccups that may cause delays during the event.
