A very nice and spacious loft with a great versatile host! The host not only provided a great space but also offered to be our photographer for our small wedding ceremony. It was a lovely gesture that made our day even more special. It's wonderful when hosts go above and beyond to make special occasions even more memorable. Highly recommend!

Great place, seamless experience ! Natalya was very accommodating, flexible and responsive. She let us scout the place a few days prior to help us organize the last details for our wake ceremony. We were able to adjust our check-in and check-out time, and even let us use the little bedroom and bathroom downstairs (which helped a lot! thank you). Always responsive and available, she answered on the spot to our questions. We really recommend, and would love to rent again in the future. Sophie

The space was appropriate and adequate to allow me to accommodate the service I needed to do. The neighborhood area was was pleasant appeared safe and was comfortable to do my service. The location was clean, equipment and any additional supplies to maintain or operate was a available. The Host has a beautiful place for a personal private intimate gathering. The location has a side door that had to remain locked. I'm not sure that is an exit to where. I'm a safety person that is my only concern to have another exit for emergency purpose.

Imagine a pool, an enchanting backyard, a dedicated patio area, and other creative spaces. Who needs an event center when you can have everything you need for a memorable ceremony?

  • If you're more into an industrial vibe than a classy look, a large warehouse venue nestled between downtown and East Vancouver is the place to be. It’s just a short walk from a train station and will keep your guests busy. Plan games around a chess table, a pool table, PS 3, a mini kitchen, a projector, televisions, and more.

  • A warm and user-friendly studio is the perfect wedding venue if you have a small guest count. It's a blank canvas space in the heart of Montreal’s Quartier des Spectacles. Feel free to dress it up the way you want to match the theme and look you’re going for.

  • For weddings, retirement, graduation, coming-of-age ceremonies, and other family-related events, a modern Bel Air home in Los Angeles guarantees a fun and relaxing celebration. You have your dream house to stay overnight, gorgeous city views, and outdoor courts for those who love spots.

Choosing the Right Type of Location for a Ceremony

Gone are the days when a wedding ceremony must be exclusively in a religious building like a chapel or a temple. With tons of ceremonies and events we celebrate and stunning venues available these days, you can get hitched and party anywhere that sparks joy. Here are some of our favorite ceremony spots worth considering:

  • Art Galleries and Loft Spaces – Modern Minimalist. For those who love clean lines, simple style, and maybe a bit of an edgy feel, art galleries and cozy lofts offer a unique setting for a celebration that breaks the tradition. Either you go wild with your decorations and add a pop of color, or keep it understated and let the space speak for itself—it's all up to you!

  • Mansions and Estates – Historic Elegance. Romantic, timeless, and dreamy, mansions and sprawling estates are beloved locations for grand ceremonies. Every corner has a photogenic spot, from the garden to the actual building, so expect gorgeous photos to remind you of your big day.

  • Private Gardens and Backyards – Romantic, Fairytale-ish Feel. If you want your ceremony to feel like a big, beautiful party with all the people you care about, do it in a private garden and a lush backyard. Introduce games while the sun is out and have a bonfire at the end of the night.

  • Event Halls and Ballrooms – The Classic Spaces. These venues will never be out of style, and Giggster has unique event halls and ballrooms that are far from those run-of-the-mill places that are easy to forget. With quality sound systems, attentive staff, in-house catering, and other good stuff that other ceremony locations don’t have, they know what to do to make your ceremony stand out.

  • Restaurants with Private Rooms – Intimate Festivities. Good food, comfortable seating, great company, and an inviting atmosphere—you have the perfect ingredients for the best ceremony. With a private room for you and your guests, it feels more like a special dinner party where you can focus on enjoying time with your closest friends and family.

Ceremony Location Must-Haves

Whether you’re here to find wedding venues or a new place to throw a surprise birthday bash for a family member, you’ll waste your effort if the space doesn’t meet your needs. So, before you go out there and start your venue hunt, you must be clear about your non-negotiables and things you can let go of.

Will you be okay rain or shine? You cannot underestimate the importance of a weather contingency plan. Even if the weather forecast says it will be nice weather on your ceremony date, if Mother Nature decides otherwise, you’ll want to be prepared and not let the sudden downpour ruin your event.

Can everyone get there hassle-free? A dream ceremony on top of a mountain or a quiet cottage in the countryside sounds amazing. But if it’s hard to get to for most of your guests, it can be a problem, so book a place that's accessible and easy to reach no matter their mode of transportation.

Does it feel like you? When you walk into the space, can you see a bit of your personality or style in it? Maybe it’s too glamorous for your taste or a bit laid-back for the theme. Choose a ceremony venue that aligns with your vision and the vibe you’re going for.

Organizing a Ceremony

You probably have a dream ceremony, whether it’s for your wedding day, your little one’s christening, graduation, or coming-of-age event. How to turn it into reality is up to you, but we’ve got some tips that may inspire you.

Start Early – Never wait until the last minute before you book a venue or hire vendors. The earlier you plan, the more time you’ll have to organize the details and polish everything to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

Create a Guest List – You don’t need an exact headcount, but a ballpark figure is your best friend right now to make better decisions. This will help you decide whether you need a lot of budget and a bigger venue or a small restaurant’s private dining room will do.

Set a Budget – It’s so easy to get carried away and spend more than you should, leaving you in a pile of credit card debt later. That shouldn’t be the case if you set a budget early on and stick to it as much as possible.

It’s All in the Details – The small details like lighting, music, parking, and restrooms may not be on top of your priority list, but they can make or break your ceremony. They might be easy to brush off because you think you have more vital things to worry about, but they can quickly put a damper on a great ceremony if taken for granted.

Ceremony Expenses to Plan For

Ceremonies cost, no matter how small and simple they may be, and if you want them to be grand, you must be willing to pay the price. So before you throw confetti, hang the balloons, and pop champagne, here are some common costs to help you plan without surprise bills later and maybe even save money.

There’s more to it than the venue rental.

When you pay the venue rental fee, it’s just the cost of using the space, which can be a flat rate for the day or hourly. What about the chairs, tables, sound system, decorations, and lights? Some may be included in the venue, but not all, so budget for other services and amenities as well.

What will you serve your guests?

Catering, bar service, food trucks, or even just snacks and light refreshments—all these add up fast. And if you’re feeding a big crowd, you’d have to spend more. Choose the best dining option where you can save money.

Do you need to hire entertainers?

Music sets the mood, so don’t skimp on this. But who needs a DJ or a live band if you have a sensational playlist that everyone will love and will get them in the party mood? It's just an unnecessary added expense you can use for something else.
