We've used this conference room on several occasions and have been very happy with the experience. Jeff is always friendly and quick to respond if I have questions regarding the booking. It's a secure building in a safe neighborhood, the conference room has always been clean and well-maintained, and the manager of to co-working space is very welcoming. I do wish it wasn't permit parking on the street, but there's plenty of free street parking on the side streets. I highly recommend this space, and working with Jeff is a pleasure.

About Summits

Summits are events that generally have a narrow focus and require an invite to attend. What makes them different from other conventions and conferences is that summits generally include the presence of experts on the topic at the venue. With the presence of experts, expect a few topics that are going to be discussed at a high level.

Whilst most summits focus on specific problems or topics, some have a hybrid layout with other types of events, meaning that each summit is on a case-to-case basis and shouldn’t be considered to all be the same. This means that each summit needs a unique venue that best represents the idea that’s being promoted at the venue. Looking for a location that helps promote the theme of your summit can help get attendees into the mood for your event.

With many venues to consider, it may seem like a challenge to find a location that suits your summit. However, when you begin considering factors like venue size and capacity, it becomes easier to filter locations to find one that suits your purpose.

The Best Summit Venues

Before you decide to settle on a venue, consider all the possible options to ensure that you have one that synergizes with your topic. Choosing a proper summit venue will reduce the need to obtain equipment and services that contribute to your summit.

  • Event Spaces
These range from private rooms to art galleries that can be utilized as a possible venue for your next summit. Many of these venues have differing amenities which need to be considered to ensure that you have the most features for the space that you’re renting. Generally, event spaces are spacious enough to host a wide range of events: consider a minimalist event space in San Diego as an example of a space with a large capacity.

  • Dance Studios
Dance Studios are open spaces with little to no décor which allows event planners and designers to run free with their creative solutions to fill up the space with decorations. Generally, most dance studios already have a good sound system which means that you spend less overall, as you won’t have to invest in high-end sound systems for your upcoming summit. Look towards a dance studio in San Marcos as inspiration for your next summit.

  • Rooftops
Often considered to be exclusive venues and unique to each building, rooftops are great venues for any private events like summits. These venues often have beautiful scenery of the city skyline, which allows you to focus on other features other than the decoration. When considering rooftop summit sites, you may need to think about heavier equipment to ensure that the drafts and winds don’t blow any loose equipment away.

  • Grand Halls
Generally found within venues like hotels, grand halls are a great venue that already have some décor to work with. These venues have large capacities and can be organized to ensure that everyone attending can take advantage of all the features present at the grand hall. With venues like grand halls, expect Wi-Fi and many accessways, ensuring that everyone can enter and exit without any crowding.

  • Warehouses
Perfect for large events, warehouses are ideal for larger events like summits. Warehouses can facilitate larger and heavier equipment like cars and heavy machinery which may be necessary for your next summit. Consider what type of warehouse and the additional features may be needed to ensure that you get the best bang-for-buck warehouse that can serve as your next summit location.

What to Look for in Summit Spaces

Before you start making arrangements for decorations and services, considering the features that come with renting out a summit space can help you make a decision between a good and a bad venue. Think about a few of the factors to consider before deciding on a location.

  • Size
Although not all summits have massive audiences, ensuring that you have enough space to facilitate everyone who attends is a must. Having more than enough space is essentially better than having too little space as you can always section out the larger spaces to accommodate your expected attendance, but you can’t increase the size of a venue that is too small.

  • Accessibility
Having many ways to enter and exit the venue is generally a good thing, and depending on the size of the entrances, you can fit in larger equipment like vehicles to serve as an example in your upcoming summit.

  • Security
Some summits come to discuss pressing issues and topics that bring together high-profile individuals. Ensuring that everyone is safe is vital, so getting a facility that not only has a secure structure but has multiple security features like cameras and sensors are generally good things and can make everyone attending feel safer.

  • Features
Having additional features present on the premises of your venue, like high-quality sound systems and Wi-Fi means that you don’t have to look for extra services and equipment to complete your upcoming summit. With each venue having a different set of features and amenities, finding one that has everything you need won’t be a difficult task.

  • Ambiance
Having a venue that has décor that aligns with your upcoming summit makes it a lot easier to design and decorate as you won’t have to do a lot to ready the venue for your big event. Look through the many options to find a venue that has the same theme as your upcoming summit.

Summit Inspirations

You will have no difficulty finding a summit location if you know what you need. But sometimes it can be hard to decide on the exact details of the theme. Here are some inspirations for your summit.

  • Environmental Summits at Outdoor Venues
What better way to discuss nature than being in it? Outdoor venues can be chosen as a summit location and only need some extra services and equipment to complete the look. If you are hosting a summit about climate control, global warming, pollution, or some other outdoor issues, being outside will bring the problem up close and personal.

  • Corporate Summits at Banquet Halls
A great venue for corporations to decide the next step moving forward, banquet halls provide some seriousness to the event whilst still maintaining a relatively light atmosphere which allows for important decisions to be made without stressing those involved.

  • Automotive Summits at a Warehouse
Display the latest eco-friendly vehicle or discuss the effects of inefficient engines with the help of a warehouse. These locations can usually facilitate heavier equipment which means that you can bring in vehicles and equipment to the venue.

  • Art Summits at a Museum
Perfect for the more elegant events in life, art summits require a venue that emits the same atmosphere as the work that’s being discussed. Museums serve as great alternatives to art galleries as it draws focus away from the exhibits and instead spotlight the art that’s being discussed.
