This location is even better than pictured! We used it for our Spring campaign images, and everywhere you look there are perfect vignettes to capture. All of the rooms are large enough to move around in, so you can always get the perfect angle, and have all these fantastic moments of character that add so much to each image. On top of that, Azie is such a dream to work with. She responds promptly, easily answered all of my questions, worked with me to make sure everything I needed was available, and followed up after the shoot to see how everything went and suggest some of her other locations to me (all of which are equally as amazing). LeAnn who was on site for both my scout and our shoot day was beyond helpful and made our shoot day go so smoothly. I really felt like their whole team went absolutely above and beyond to make sure that our experience was nothing less than perfect. I would recommend this location 100000x over for anyone looking for a location that boasts tons of character, amazing light, and a great variety of spaces to shoot in! Thank you thank you thank you!

About Off Sites

An offsite event is one in which colleagues get together away from the normal office space. Sometimes, office managers and HR personnel understand that productivity can be greatly increased by hosting an off site event. Team building events are typically held in an off site venue, and they can not only motivate employees but can bond the team together in a way that simply spending time together in the office cannot. Repetition is often a downer for employees. The daily grind can wear down workers. It can lead to boredom. It can lead to apathy regarding the job. So, an off site event can provide individuals with a new outlook.

Off site events contribute to increased brainstorming. The change of scenery itself can lend to greater creativity, and the entertainment typically provided with an off site event can add to this. An off site meeting can contribute to meeting a deadline on time. It can re-energize staff, and it can also provide extra motivation that can’t be achieved within the walls of the office. Off site meetings can also offer opportunities for networking as well as avoid the typical interruptions that take place at the office.

The Best Off Site Venues

The off site venue can be just a few miles away from the office, or it can be a destination location. Some managers plan off site meetings in the form of a day trip or as an overnight stay in town. For this reason, it is always a great idea to consider a hotel as an off site space. Some managers will choose a lodge, inn, or ranch for work gatherings. Others may choose a loft space or a room in a restaurant/bar. The chief idea is to simply get employees out of the office for a fun event that encourages team building.

  • Hotels
A hotel and/or resort is always a great choice for an off site meeting place. When choosing a hotel, managers have the option of an overnight stay as well as the ability to utilize meeting rooms on the grounds of the venue. Sometimes simply getting out of the normal environment is all that employees need to get those creative juices flowing.

  • Restaurants
Many restaurants offer managers and employees the ability to get out of the office, enjoy some tasty dishes, and possibly utilize a meeting room on the grounds or even the rooftop of the restaurant! Some managers plan gatherings that offer entertainment; the rooftop is a great place to sit back and listen to a talented band or to even play a few neat games as a means of team building.

  • Loft Spaces
A loft space is a great place for an off site meeting. If your team is small and you simply need a place to get away, a loft is versatile and roomy. Plus, you can create a workspace easily in a loft because they are typically open and airy.

  • Destination Off Site Locations
Some off site meetings take place in a destination location. Some may choose a ranch where employees can play cowboy for a day, while other meetings could take place at Disney World or event a restful lake. Resorts make great destination off site locations; employees and managers have accommodations as well as great meeting spaces all in one location.

What to Look for in Off Site Spaces

When looking for the perfect off site location, it is important to remember what the purpose of your going there is meant to achieve. Managers are likely looking to boost productivity in employees, as well as their creative abilities. You’ll want to consider location, the size of the venue, the amenities provided by the site, and the aesthetics of the venue.

  • Location and Accessibility
Whether you’re planning an overnight stay for employees or an afternoon away from the office, the location and accessibility of the venue are highly important. Getting to the venue is a chief consideration if you want all employees to attend. Traffic to and from the venue, as well as accessibility for any affected employees, can make or break the event. You may want to consider providing transportation for employees.

  • Venue Size and Capacity
If your company is made up of a few people, a smaller off site venue may be perfect. However, if you are planning an event with a few hundred employees, then making sure the event location offers plenty of room for your guests is imperative. You’ll also want to consider the layout of the venue so that your guests have ample room to move around during activities. Consider space for tables and chairs as well.

  • Amenities
The ability to have certain items in place before your event can save you time and money. Some venues do provide a minimum of audio/visual equipment, which can save you lots of dough when you might need to rent it otherwise. Many venues offer breakrooms and a kitchen, so, if you’re catering something in, you’ll have a place to store food and beverages without sacrificing any of your meeting space.

  • Aesthetics
Studies show that employees attending an off site event prefer a venue that offers natural lighting in order to boost creativity. Employees also prefer a space that offers the ability to easily reconfigure potential workspaces. Offering your employees a few pieces of greenery also add to the aesthetics of the venue. Finally, a venue that offers a place where employees can escape for a minute or two just to relax between sessions is typically more popular than venues that do not offer these elements.

Off Site Inspiration

You’ve noticed that productivity is down for your employees. Some may be taking extra mental health days off work, while other employees just seem bored. Perhaps your employees have a major deadline approaching, and you want to provide them with a little change of scenery to ensure the deadline is met on time. An off site event for employees is a great way to reward great work and break the monotony of routine.

  • Off Site Team Building at a Theme Park
Think about the typical fun factors at a theme park – amusement rides, roller coasters, games throughout the park, perhaps even a few opportunities to shop and just breathe. Taking a small crew of employees for a day at a local theme park could be just the thing to spark creativity and break the daily routine.

  • A Company Picnic at a Park
Using a traditional work day to play in the park could really motivate your employees to boost production and creativity. Not only is a great meal outdoors a treat for your employees, but you could also introduce a few fun games for the event. Playing a round of putt-putt golf or even having a fun relay race can build teams and provide relaxation as well.

  • Day on a Farm
Who doesn’t love farm animals? Perhaps your employees would enjoy an afternoon of horseback riding or touring a petting zoo. Maybe there is a nearby farm at which the owners would allow your employees to carry out a few chores while you tour the facilities. You’d be surprised how your employees will learn new ways to work together while out on a farm.
