They were very helpful, informative and great at communicating with me in a timely manner. The space was just right for my yoga class. I would definitely book with them again when I travel back to New Orleans.

The quality of this wonderful venue, and the cherished memories which were created within it, is unrivalled in the world of mankind. I would endorse this space with great vigour to any such soul that desires to host a gathering in the aspirations of creating good vibes for all in attendance. Having grown up in Vancouver but moved away several years ago, I was visiting home to water the crops of friendship with loved ones and wanted to host an intimate gathering for a group of ~30 friends. I'd initially looked at booking a private room at a bar so that we'd have a dedicated space, but in a most fortuitous turn of events I stumbled upon this hallowed space. The English language, nor any other form of language (spoken or otherwise) can adequately convey the superiority of this space when compared to an alternative option. We were able to bless our ears with whatsoever musical stylings the guests desired, which were played over their phenomenal sound system linked to my phone via the technological marvel which is known as bluetooth. In addition, we were able to move about the space to both mix AND mingle, which was the goal of providing an intimate setting. In comparison, if we'd gathered in a private room at a bar then we would have been stuck in small groups along a table of great length and would not have been so free as to catch up with friends of old or to begin sowing the seeds of friendship amongst those who were not yet familiar with one another. Furthermore, the team providing the space were friendly, engaging, and enormously helpful in coordinating the venue and ensuring it was fit to host a royal entourage. Each of the 30 guests in attendance messaged me personally afterwards to say that it was one of their fondest memories in recent years, that the space made all the difference in the world, and I will most certainly be booking this space upon my next return to Vancouver. If you want to host a great event with a supportive team and a well-equipped space, look no further and book this space!

About Awards Ceremonies

Award ceremonies focus on appreciating the hard work of a group of individuals. They are formal occasions that award prizes to people who have made great strides or various achieved special milestones in a particular field.

Organizing an awards ceremony is more or less a similar process to planning any type of celebratory gathering. Most award ceremonies mirror red carpet events with the glitz and glam incorporated through the decor and overall experience. The goal is to make the group of outstanding professionals or creatives feel truly special on the occasion. The bottom line is that a lot goes into the process of putting together a successful and unforgettable awards ceremony.

Like any other occasion, the biggest hurdle could be locating a suitable awards ceremony space. Make a list of must-haves and look for befitting event venues near you.

The Best Awards Ceremony Venues

Perhaps yours is an event aimed at rewarding employees who have helped your business achieve record sales. It could also be an occasion to present prizes to the top competitors who participated in a creative project. Your work is nearly done by identifying and locking down a suitable awards ceremony venue. Here are location ideas to get you started.

  • Rooftops, Patios, and Terraces
Guests will be in for a surprise if you choose a rooftop, patio, or terrace as the awards ceremony site. As long as the venue has ample space to accommodate your guests, the necessary permits, and aligns with the general theme of the occasion; these unique spots are ideal for hosting cocktail events. Why not choose an inviting and unique beach style patio in LA for your upcoming awards ceremony?

  • Garages
Garages might be unusual event spaces but they equally present an endless list of possibilities. It might mean more work but you can dress them up as you please to suit the occasion. Also, if you go for the industrial type, they come with enough space to host a sizable group of people.

  • Community Centers
Community centers are equally great choices for awards ceremony events. A majority can accommodate a large number of people and they also offer several beneficial amenities. Most come with a kitchen, a dance floor, and basic furnishings to get you started.

  • Museums and Art Galleries
Museums and art galleries provide the luxurious atmosphere that is characteristic of awards ceremonies. The layout favors such events and a majority can link you up with vendors like caterers as well as planners for the occasion.

What to Look for in Awards Ceremony Spaces

Everyone enjoys watching the huge award shows, and while yours might not be a Hollywood-league event; you still want to impress your guests and provide them with a memorable experience. The planning process is easier with an awards ceremony site identified and booked alongside paying closer attention to the finer details.

  • Capacity
Perhaps you come across the perfect venue but it can accommodate 500 people while you are only expecting 100 guests. You are better off settling for a smaller venue with some wiggle room. A huge space will seem empty and a bit impersonal for an occasion like an awards ceremony that should ideally give off a "full house" vibe.

  • Event Rentals
Maybe you want the red carpet experience for your awards ceremony with an actual red carpet and photos to boot. The same applies to chairs, tables, linens, and decorations. You can always get what you need from event rental companies but it's more economical if the establishment handles this aspect.

  • Amenities
If the venue provides fancy services like valet parking, it will undoubtedly impress your guests and make everyone's time easier. If you are planning to broadcast the awards ceremony, it helps to have an in-house A/V team and filming crew taking care of this aspect.

  • Catering
If you want your guests served welcome drinks and perhaps a meal during the event; settle for an awards ceremony space that provides in-house catering services. Again, it's all about convenience and cost but each location is different and you might need to outsource the services if you go with some venues.

  • Booking and Cancellation Policies
It's wise to book an awards ceremony location early enough and this is pegged on making other crucial decisions. That includes selecting a date, having a concrete guest count, and a budget to work with. Venues have varying cancellation policies but overall, early bookings are always an added plus.

Awards Ceremony Inspiration

Perhaps locating an ideal awards ceremony venue isn't the problem but connecting the space with your event is proving to be a challenge. You can take your event to the next level by incorporating some of these inspiring ideas in the process of putting together your awards ceremony.

  • Hollywood Nights-themed Ceremony at a Rooftop Terrace
Having a themed event always raises the fun factor and what better inspiration than the industry that serves as a yardstick for award ceremonies? A Hollywood Nights-themed event will allow your guests to dress up as their favorite stars and there's no better place to host the shindig than at a rooftop terrace.

  • Black & White Awards Event at a Ballroom
The traditional black and white theme isn't about to fade into obscurity any time soon. The theme also pairs well with formal events like awards ceremonies and the icing on the cake is hosting the occasion at an enchanting ballroom. From dining setups to dance floors, ballroom venues provide all the amenities needed to host award ceremonies.

  • Casino Royale-themed Festivity at a Community Center
You'll be licensed to thrill by hosting a Casino Royale-themed awards ceremony at your local community center. Treat your guests to the casino experience by setting up the venue with Poker, Blackjack, Baccarat, and Roulette tables. It doubles up as a great form of entertainment for the occasion.

  • Fancy Dress Party at a Japanese Zen Studio
Instruct your guests to dress to the nines for an entertaining evening hosted at a Japanese-style zen studio. You can leave it open or choose a specific fancy dress niche to guide everyone. Include a special best-dressed prize to encourage your guests to really get into the spirit of the event.

  • Movie-themed Gathering at a Luxury Penthouse
Choose a movie and have guests randomly pick a character to personify during the event. It's a kind gesture to award the best-dressed person during the occasion. A luxury penthouse provides the ideal setting to host such an awards ceremony and it also suits an event with a small guest count.
