Would definitely recommend this space. Held an event here on a Saturday from 2-10. Communications, tours, and help on the day of was amazing. The team at Startuptive were so nice and very easy to work with. The security team was also super helpful in guiding our guests. The space is exactly as it's pictured - utilized the kitchen, projector, and audio and everything worked perfect. Had around 60 guests and they were all a fan of the space and even inquired about it. Hope they book some events here too :) Thanks so much for everything!

Tips on how to Organize Large Conferences in Toronto

Organizing a large conference in any city can be an overwhelming undertaking. Toronto is no different, with its bustling downtown core, countless attractions, and its many modern and historic venues to choose from. With careful planning and proper consideration of the particulars of your event, a successful large conference in Toronto is within reach. Here are some tips to make your planning process easier and ensure that your conference runs as smoothly as possible:

  • Choose the right venue. Selecting the best venue for your event is key to ensuring a positive experience for all involved. Consider factors such as proximity to hotels, accessibility from various routes, audio-visual capabilities, catering services, and parking capacity when choosing the ideal spot for your conference.

  • Plan for transportation services. Downtown Toronto has an elaborate public transit system that could facilitate easy access to your event location by delegates coming from nearby cities. You may also consider arranging shuttle services from designated points or hiring limousines for larger groups of people attending the event.

  • Establish a budget. Set aside time to create a realistic budget for your conference based on estimated costs of accommodations, food & beverage, rentals, promotions, and other miscellaneous expenses associated with running the event effectively. Be sure to factor in unforeseen costs that may arise during the duration of the conference such as unexpected equipment repairs or additional staff required at short notice due to increased attendance numbers.

  • Create an informative website. Develop a website that provides clear information about your event such as blog postings about speakers/panels/presentations along with registration forms for guests so they can easily sign up without any hassle before or during the day of the conference itself.

  • Promote early and often. Establish social media channels dedicated specifically to promoting your event months prior to its start date so that you can inform potential attendees about what’s happening on-site throughout each day it takes place (e.g., workshops/seminars/networking opportunities). Additionally, use traditional strategies such as print ads/flyers distributed around town or radio spots broadcasted during peak hours at intervals leading up to it so more people become aware of what’s occurring at your conference once it kicks off in earnest.
