I would absolutely return to this location in a heart-beat if another shoot arose in the Philadelphia area. Joe and the team at Billy Penn was fantastic and more accommodating than many other locations I've used. They were very communicative, helpful, and responsive to any and all requests and needs we had on-hand, and went out of their way to make the experience as pleasant and positive as possible. Moreover, the location itself was clean, gorgeous, provided all power, internet, AC/Heat, and privacy we needed, and is within close distance to a handful of restaurants and stores for food and supply runs. There was an onsite cafe, which was fantastic for quick coffee runs, and onsite community of businesses in the building that came in handy when we were missing a few pieces of equipment for our shoot (one of the businesses was a video rental house). Would absolutely recommend using this location, and look forward to using the location again for future shoots in the Philadelphia area.

  • Start planning early: It's important to give yourself, and the other attendees, plenty of time to prepare for the meeting. Make sure you plan for an appropriate amount of time for travel and other necessary preparations before the meeting.

  • Select an appropriate venue: You should choose a venue that is spacious enough to accommodate all the people who will be attending as well as any materials or equipment that may be needed. Famous Locations in Philadelphia

  • Tiffany Glass Mural "The Dream Garden"
At the intersection of 8th and Cherry Streets in Philadelphia stands something special: "The Dream Garden," a 15 ft by 49 ft mosaic mural of 100,000 pieces crafted from over 260 color tones. Louis C. Tiffany masterfully crafted the masterpiece, which was inspired by a Maxfield Parrish landscape, and it took an incredible 6 months to complete in 1916. It deserves consideration as the world's largest piece of Tiffany art glass — though certainly not to be discounted is the equally grand dome located at Chicago's Cultural Center. In fact, "The Dream Garden" held the title of America's largest glass mural until being surpassed in 2007 by Wing Lung Bank located in Alhambra, CA. Though a casino owner almost purchased it for his pleasure at 9 million dollars back in the late '90s, it was declared a "historic object" and ownership was instead handed off to four cultural institutions in Philadelphia — much to eyes' delight.

  • Grip the Raven
Grip the Clever, Grip the Wicked, Grip the Knowing. These are just some of the aliases melodiously heard in the Free Library of Philadelphia's Rare Books department as visitors take in a piece of literary history frozen in time. Standing proud on a log is Grip—a dead bird preserved with arsenic since 1841 and formerly owned by none other than Charles Dickens himself. It's no surprise that this pet raven has inspired not one but two famous authors—Poe included—for its stout personality, proving time and again that it takes more than death to finally seal a great legacy. So if you're ever in Philadelphia and want to relive the charming stories of Dickens or Poe, be sure to pay a visit to the library's Rare Books department and meet their not-so-hidden gem: Grip, the witty and wise raven.

  • The Franklin Institute
The Franklin Institute is a science museum designed to delight and educate the whole family. Aimed at stimulating all 5 senses, there's something for everyone to enjoy here. The most impressive aspects of this museum are the interactive exhibits and displays, as presented in the Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook exhibit and Hall of Fame Gallery. If you're feeling particularly daring, test your hand at survival skills in the former and get inspired by some intense real-life stories in the latter. With new experiences always waiting on the events calendar, the Franklin Institute is sure to spark curiosity and nurture knowledge in a range of ways.
