Reviews for Dinner venues in Philadelphia, PA

The space is fantastic! Historic design elements and wonderful art (most of it personal or curated by homeowner). The living and dining rooms each have enough depth for shots involving sit down interviews. We also used the backyard/patio as a staging area. In the event you find yourself traveling back and forth through the patio door on a chilly day, ask the owner to turn on the wonderful little stove in the kitchen that acts as a heater. The owners are easily accessible and have great communication. Would highly recommend!

Perfect warehouse space, easy to rig lights up, plenty of power, easy to get into, street parking was free and available. All around perfect for what we were doing.

Michelle was a great host and the studio was perfect for our small music video production! Michelle was responsive and super easy to work out the scout/booking with. The studio itself is very accessible with lots of parking outside and a big garage door for loading in equipment. Space is as described in the listing!

How to Plan a Dinner in Philadelphia

You've found the perfect space for your next event. Now it's time to plan your dinner! Here are some important tips to follow so you can create a memorable event.

Think About the Dinner Format – Consider the layout or format you'd like for your dinner party, such as if it's a seated dinner, a buffet, or a cocktail reception. This will be influenced by the style (such as elegant or casual) of your event venue. Giggster's 61 unforgettable venue listings give you a range of event spaces to match your dining style.

Create the Right Atmosphere with Lighting – The type of lighting you choose for your social gathering will affect its overall mood. Gentle lighting from candles will help you create a soft, cozy effect, while string lights can create a more rustic or festive feeling. You want to avoid any harsh or too-bright lighting.

Cook Ahead of Time – It's always helpful to cook everything you need ahead of your event so you don't get stuck in the kitchen while your guests are having a fantastic time in the event space! Alternatively, have the event catered so you don't have to stress about the food.

Give Guests Clear Directions – Try to make your guests feel comfortable, so provide signage for important areas at the dinner party, like the taco/cocktail station, the coat rack, the restrooms, and so on. This is especially important if the space is large with multiple rooms or areas.

How to Save Money on Your Dinner in Philadelphia

Dinner parties and events might feel overwhelming and expensive, especially if you're new to planning them. Don't worry! Here are some tips on how to save money.

Only cook for intimate gatherings.

If you're hosting a social event, such as a special occasion, stick to homemade food for really small gatherings. Consider other affordable alternatives for larger events, like asking guests to bring their favorite dishes.

Serve one main dish and dessert.

While it's tempting to go all out for your dinner party, try to serve one main meal instead of multiple courses. You can bulk it up by providing side dishes and adding a simple dessert to end the meal. Buffet tables for all the food that you're serving can work well to cut down your costs because you won't have to supply other items for a seated dinner, like certain tableware and decorations.

Stick to an essentials-only bar.

If you know what your party guests or business meeting attendees want to drink at the dinner, try to provide these beverages so you avoid having an open bar throughout the event. If you do like the idea of having a bar, only supply the most popular essentials.
