I booked this venue for a dinner party of 15 people. Although I viewed the property a month prior, my attendees had never seen it. The owner and property manager were great to work with, and responded quickly. I knew that it would be a hit! The venue is smash-up of a loft and train station. We loved the subway tiles and Central station signage. It is a photo ready venue, especially around the large island with illuminating lighting. Within seconds of walking up the wide stair case, everyone was in awe of the layout and space of the property. It really felt like you were walking into the entrance of a subway/ train station. At the top of the stairs, you’ll arrive at a floor to ceiling mural. There was a pool table that someone had a chance to play. The large table that nearly seated my whole party was amazing. There were additional bar stools that we also used for seating. It was a great space for dinner and open discussion. Although we didn’t use the bedrooms, there were atleast 3 of them and 2 rest rooms. No one had an issue parking, and we were all secure between the hours of 5pm-10pm on a Saturday. We all loved the venue because of the ease of location from Davison Hwy and Woodard Ave, and amazing floor space. Before I left, my group agreed that they would love to come back on a regular basis for our monthly meetings.

For starters Lauren is such a gracious host! She was very flexible and accommodating for my needs when booking my event. This space can be used for many different things as there are several rooms to use. I used the space for a dinner party this time but I’ll definitely book again for other types of events. A plus for me was that there were serval chairs available for use.

The studio was the perfect place to hold our end of year family style sit down dinner. We needed an open space that would allow serving space and several tables; the studio was well lit and Frank showed us how to adjust to a dimmer more intimate lighting effect. Frank was very accessible, responsive, and a great host. This space would be a great fit for birthday parties, rehearsals space, video shoots, and dance parties. Definitely keeping this venue close in the contact list!

Things to Consider for Your Dinner in Atlanta

Are you planning a dinner party in Atlanta? Before deciding on a venue, consider the pros and cons of choosing this beautiful city as your party destination.

Advantages

  • Atlanta is home to the busiest airport in the world, the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, just a short drive from Downtown Atlanta. With millions of passengers every year, your attendees won't have any trouble getting to your dinner party.

  • Winters in Atlanta are very mild, with temperatures rarely dropping below freezing. Take advantage of Atlanta's off-season prices and book an outdoor venue for your party in January! Explore all four seasons in beautiful Atlanta.

  • You'll never run out of things to do in Atlanta. Take your friends to Stone Mountain Park, submerge in the Georgia Aquarium, or explore the greenery of the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Get them excited for your upcoming dinner party!

Disadvantages

  • Summers in Atlanta can be very oppressive, with high temperatures and humidity. Consider an indoor venue for your dinner party during the steamy summer months. Make it memorable!

  • Seasonal allergies in Atlanta are a very real problem. Allergy season starts as early as January and peaks between March and April. If you or any of your attendees suffer from allergies, consider an indoor venue for your dinner.

  • Traffic in Atlanta isn't just unbelievably bad; it's also among the ten riskiest cities for drivers in the US, averaging more than 28,000 accidents in 2023. Plan your dinner party before or after rush hour to avoid the worst of it.

Planning Your Dinner in Atlanta

If it's the first time you're hosting a dinner party, here's how to get started.

Set the Budget – How much will you spend on your dinner party? It's one thing to book the venue, but you still need to account for things like the food and the entertainment. Food already accounts for 20% of a regular party's budget, but if you're hosting a dinner, you can expect that percentage to go up. Prioritize the most impactful items on your list first.

Food and Beverages – If you're hosting a dinner party, the most important part is the food and beverages. Decide first if you're catering yourself or hiring a professional caterer. Some venues offer delicious indoor catering options; most allow you to bring your own if you're set on a different caterer. Make it match your theme!

Menu Options – To make your dinner party the best possible event, you'll need to offer a large enough menu. Ask your friends about any dietary requirements, and make sure there are options for the most popular ones, like vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. Things like wood-fired pizzas and Georgia shrimp are the type of foods you should watch out forkeep your attendees in mind at all times!

Select the Venue – After you've decided on the food and menu options, you can move on to picking the venue. Check if the venue offers indoor catering that matches your menu—or at least offers just the right amount of alternatives. Decorate it to your liking and make it look like straight out of the Atlanta Magazine!

Saving Money on a Dinner Party in Atlanta

Looking at venues and planning a dinner party can be fun. What's slightly less fun is balancing all expenses and making sure you stay within your budget. Here's how to keep the costs of your dinner party as low as possible.

Cater for your guests yourself.

Catering for your guests yourself is an excellent way to cut costs, especially if you're hosting a small dinner party for your closest friends or family. Make sure you meet all dietary requirements, and you're good to go.

Plan your event for the offseason.

In Atlanta, the offseason begins in January and lasts through April. This is when tourist crowds are at their lowest and when you'll find the best deals on venues. If you don't have that much flexibility for your special occasion, you can always book a weekday venue instead of the weekend and save some money.

Consider a more limited menu.

One of the best ways to reduce costs is to consider a more limited menu. If you find yourself offering crispy duck lasagna, Indian street food, and squid ink spaghetti, chances are you made a mistake when discussing the menu with your caterer. Instead of dozens of options, expect dishes that match the theme, and instead of an open bar, consider a few select drinks plus a few signature drinks.
