Sleek modern space with practical amenities. Our meeting was running long, yet the host was understanding about extending our time (with extra payment, of course). The company board members felt well taken care of in here. Thanks!

About Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a popular city in Southern California along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. More than 3.9 million people call LA home, and it attracts approximately 50 million visitors as well. The economy in the city is driven by more than just entertainment with international trade, apparel, and technology too.

Between the entertainment industry and tourism though, Los Angeles boasts over a trillion dollars of gross value, making it the third-largest economic metro city in the world behind New York and Tokyo. With so much to do in the city, planning a corporate meeting venue in Los Angeles is an extraordinary idea.

Interesting Fact: Downtown Los Angeles has an underground maze of tunnels from Spring and Temple Streets to Grand Avenue and 1st Street. Some of these were used to smuggle liquor during the Prohibition era.

Corporate Meetings in Los Angeles

A corporate meeting does not have to be a boring and stuffy event that nobody wants to go to. Nowadays, corporate meetings are more of a fun and entertaining event that keeps guests engaged, making your meeting much more productive. Some of the things you may want to think about for your meeting include a caterer, furniture, and maybe even some entertainment.

  • Catering
You should always serve some kind of food if you are going to have a group of people confined for any length of time. Otherwise, they get hungry and want to leave. Hiring a caterer is the best idea because they can prepare the food, set up and serve the food, and clean up afterward.

  • Furniture
Whether your Los Angeles corporate meeting venue is a huge auditorium, sophisticated meeting hall, or a clubhouse in the woods, you will probably need some kind of furniture. Everyone will need a place to sit, and you will also need some tables for food and other items. It is also a good idea to have some casual seating and other accent furniture.

  • Entertainment
Even if you already have a motivational speaker or business mogul lined up, why not liven up the meeting with some entertainment? A comedian would be a great idea to get everyone laughing or a mentalist to get everyone thinking. Whatever you choose, try to tie it into your corporate issues and plans.

Pros and Cons of Corporate Meetings in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a fantastic city that everyone has heard of. But every city has its ups and downs. Check out the pros and cons of having your corporate meeting venue in LA before signing any contracts.

Advantages

  • Parks
Just because you are in town for business, that does not mean you cannot enjoy yourself. Los Angeles has close to 200 parks to enjoy while you are there.

  • Beaches
Be sure to pack your sunscreen and swimsuit so you can enjoy some of the fantastic beaches in Los Angeles.

  • Weather
The weather is perfect for both the beaches and the parks as well as anything else you want to do in Los Angeles. With sunny summers in the 80s and warm winters in the 60s, this is the place to get out and enjoy.

Disadvantages

  • Traffic
There are way too many people trying to get around in Los Angeles, all day and night. Instead of renting a car, take public transportation or hire a driver.

  • Prices
Another reason to take public transportation is that the cost of gas is about three times as it is in any other city in the nation.

  • Crime
The crime rate is not great in LA so don’t wander off into unknown areas on your own or walk alone at night in the city.

Famous Locations in Los Angeles

  • The Hollywood Sign
Each letter of the Hollywood Sign is 45 feet tall and painted a bright white for everyone to see. Located on Mt. Lee in the Santa Monica Mountains, the iconic sign is easy to see from anywhere in the city. But if you want to get close, you have to take a hike. Literally. You can get there from the Griffith Observatory, the Charlie Turner Trailhead, or the fire road past the Greek Theater.

  • Hammer Museum
Get a bit of culture at the Hammer Museum while you are in LA. As an art museum and cultural center, you can see acting performances as well as works of art provided by Armand Hammer. Some of the famous pieces include the 1904 Le Repas Frugal by Picasso, the 1889 Hospital at Saint-Remy by van Gogh, and the 1896 Grands Baigneurs by Paul Cézanne.

  • Hollywood Walk of Fame
There is only one place in the world where you can see over 2,700 brass and terrazzo stars lining the sidewalks with names of actors, musicians, and even fictional characters like Mickey Mouse and Kermit the Frog. These famous monuments take up 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine. This is the perfect place to get some unique selfies.
