I booked on behalf of our small team based out of Ontario. The host was very responsive, answered all my questions promptly and provided very detailed information in advance of the meeting. The team really enjoyed the space, and had no issues setting up in the meeting room. We'd use the space again.

Dylan was an incredible host! He helped to carry the heavy items I had up the stairs which was very helpful because I have a physical disability. At that same time there was an unforeseen power outage down the entire street but because the space had big bright windows, lighting certainly was not an issue! The space was as expected, beautiful, spacious, quiet with lots of natural lighting. Dylan had even left me with some bright flash lighting to carry around if I needed to walk around the floor and it was dark in some places, like the washroom. WHO KNEW there would be a power outage of all times but Dylan had improvised to ensure I was still comfortable. I was only without power for about an hour at neither Dylan’s fault nor mine and I was still able to utilize the space the way I intended to! Thank you Dylan!

Pros and Cons of Meeting Spaces in Downtown Toronto

Downtown Toronto, Canada's largest city and business hub, is a hotbed for hosting meeting space events. Its vibrant urban landscape offers an array of unique venues, from high-tech corporate boardrooms to chic rooftop spaces overlooking the city skyline. However, its bustling city life also brings some unexpected pros and cons.

Disadvantages

  • Competing events: Toronto's event calendar is often packed. Your affair might coincide with other major events, affecting attendance, venue availability, and prices.

  • Busy skyline: While the cityscape can provide a stunning backdrop, it can also lead to distractions during meetings due to ongoing construction work or other town ventures.

  • Public demonstrations: As the heart of the city, Downtown Toronto is often the site for public demonstrations or parades, which could disrupt access to your venue or create noise interruptions.

  • Incorporate Toronto's multiculturalism: Toronto is known for its diversity. Celebrate this by implementing elements from various cultures into your event—perhaps through food, music, or guest speakers.

  • Promote active breaks: A quick walk along the waterfront, a visit to the nearby CN Tower, or a short trip to a local coffee shop can offer much-needed refreshments.

  • Leverage local talent: Toronto has a thriving arts scene. Invite local musicians, artists, or performers to your affair to add a unique touch and support the local community.

  • Consider eco-friendly practices: With a strong focus on sustainability, contemplate eco-friendly practices such as digital note-taking, recycling, and minimizing single-use items.

  • Highlight Toronto's culinary scene: Toronto's food scene is diverse and delicious. Cater your event with local specialties or arrange for food trucks to serve local favourites.
