The Palace of Fine Arts - 120,000 sq. ft
Originally built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, the Palace of Fine Arts features a Greco-Roman style Rotunda and Colonnades. These recognizable features make this landmark a truly emblematic piece of San Francisco history. The Palace is located near a large lagoon and is the former home of the Exploratorium and the current home of the Palace Theater and the Venue at the Palace of Fine Arts. In addition, the Palace is located in, perhaps, what is the most iconic area of San Francisco, right near Crissy Field and the Golden Gate Bridge.
In 1915, the Presidio’s Bayfront, and what is currently known as the Marina District served as the location of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. The Palace of Fine Arts was constructed as one of the many exposition halls used to showcase new technology and innovations.
During the 1915 Exposition, San Francisco welcomed over 18 Million guests from all around the world. The exposition lasted from February to December and covered 600 acres of land. This World’s Fair was a grand celebration. What was being celebrated? The completion of the Panama Canal. It was also a celebration of San Francisco, and the city’s ability to overcome hardship. Nine years earlier, the city endured the 1906 earthquake; a 7.9 magnitude quake that shook California along the San Andreas Fault.
By hosting this event, the San Francisco community was able to come together and build (or rebuild) buildings all around the city so that they could be used during the World’s Fair. This is how the Palace, and much of the Marina District, came to be. With hard work and determination, San Francisco proved itself to be the resilient and motivated city you see today. The Palace of Fine Arts serves as a reminder of the challenges that the city had to overcome, and the triumph the community felt when those challenges were conquered.

THE VILLA:
The space is located in the Potrero Hill/Design District neighborhood of San Francisco and is a converted machine shop originally built in the late 1800's. Many original features are still intact. It was home to and antique and art gallery for the past 30 years prior to becoming the offices of an international event designer and producer. If you're looking for that at home experience look no further.
The space is perfect for team meetings, off-sites, conferences, presentations, product launches, dinners, pop up shops and galleries, cocktail receptions, intimate weddings and holiday parties or anything else you comes up with!
The exterior of the brick masonry building is covered in old growth vines and surrounded on two sides by 10 foot tall clipped topiaries. You enter the building through the original sliding door and arrive in the drive through porte-cochère. Within this space there are exposed brick walls, estate planters overflowing with ivy and ferns.
Access to the building is through the double french doors. As you enter the building you find you’re in the grand foyer with oversized crystal chandelier, Italian statuary and contemporary art. A large bathroom is accessed from this space.
Two large rooms open off the foyer. One functions as a reception/gathering space and the other as conference/dining space.
The reception room is eclectically furnished with multiple seating areas. Through another set of french doors is an intimate cobblestoned courtyard filled with green and blooming seasonal plants.
The dining room can accommodate up to 24 at one long table.
Located just behind the dining room is the fully equipped kitchen. An additional half bath is adjacent to this space . There is also a door with access to the street for catering load in.
On the Second floor are three additional spaces. The Chandelier Ballroom Room, Library and Conference Room.
