Sebastian's space is relatively small but has a lot of potential for great shoots! There are many props that can be incorporated into your shoot and the tall windows are letting in sunshine all day - just be aware that if you want direct light coming through, you should plan your shoot towards the later half of the day. In the mornings it will be mostly indirect light. I will definitely come back soon!

My crew and I had a wonderful time here! Roxsana and Keith were extremely accommodating during the shoot and communicative during prep~ We were using the driveway as the setting for a photoshoot and used the great room, kitchen, and downstairs bedroom for HMU and Wardrobe and it couldn't have gone smoother -- The wifi actually reaches out to the front of the house as well, which was super helpful~ The icing on the cake is there's more than ample street parking -- maximum recommend!

Pros and Cons of Small Weddings in San Francisco

Thinking about planning a wedding in San Francisco? This beautiful and vibrant city is one of the most sought-after places to tie the knot on the West Coast. Whether you decide to have a big or small wedding, San Francisco has plenty of romantic locations. Here’s an overview of the pros and cons of planning a small wedding in San Francisco.

Advantages

  • San Francisco can be more cost-effective than going out with an extravagant affair. Fewer guests come with less food, decorations, cake, etc., which helps keep costs down.

  • Having a smaller guest list means you can focus more time and energy on genuinely cherishing your special occasion with those closest to you.

  • So many great venues in San Francisco cater perfectly for small weddings - from quaint chapels nestled among the city skyline to cozy wineries set amongst rolling hillsides.

Disadvantages

  • Depending on your values and beliefs, there may be social pressure when deciding how large (or small) your guest list should be.

  • When hosting a smaller event, it may mean fewer vendors/services will be available compared with more significant celebrations.

  • Since budgets are generally lower when having small weddings, this might limit what type of creative expression can be included to make everything come together ideally on the day itself.

Tips on How to Organize Small Weddings in San Francisco

Planning a small wedding in San Francisco is becoming increasingly popular due to the city’s unique and exciting venues. From quaint bed and breakfast locations to beautiful historic buildings, there are plenty of fun and memorable places to host your special day. Here are some helpful tips on organizing small weddings in San Francisco to ensure that your wedding goes off without a hitch.

  • Create a budget: Establishing a budget is an essential step when organizing any wedding—especially if it’s going to be smaller than usual. Know your priorities and determine what items or services you need to make your dream event come alive. Without setting up a realistic budget, it can be easy for costs to spiral out of control.

  • Choose the right venue: Before making any other decisions, choose the right venue that suits your style and budget. San Francisco has plenty of options such as wineries, bed & breakfasts, hotels, unique spaces like museums or galleries—the list goes on! Consider factors like location, capacity, amenities offered, and, most importantly—does it fit within your budget.

  • Book early: After selecting the perfect venue for your special day, book it as soon as possible because prime dates tend to fill up quickly! Plus, getting ahead of the game will give you more time to plan out all the finer details, like catering services and decorations.

  • Gather your vendors: Once you have booked the venue, it’s time to choose who will help make your vision come alive! Whether you require photographers or florists, San Francisco offers a wide range of talented professionals specializing in weddings. Ask for recommendations from friends or family, and don't forget to shop around before settling on one particular vendor; compare rates and be sure their services fit within your budget range, then hire away!

Famous Locations in San Francisco

  • Golden Gate Bridge
This Californian icon is a must-visit place, if only for a photo op. It connects San Francisco and Marin County, as well as other districts further north. It is one of the city’s most photographed sites, and you might have seen it in several movies and TV shows. If you think it is stunning enough during the day, the flood-lit structure is quite striking at night. Locals enjoy crossing the bridge on bikes, and the East Sidewalk is the pedestrian access.

  • Cable Car Rides
A visit to San Francisco isn’t complete without riding its famous cable cars. Introduced in 1873, they helped locals navigate the hilly city, but today, the few remaining offer tourists a thrilling way to explore the city. The cable cars drive through some of the city’s major attractions, including Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Nob Hill. For reference, Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason are the most scenic routes.

  • Chinatown
Yet another screen-famous location, Chinatown, is a must-visit community in San Francisco. It is touted as the nation’s oldest and largest outside of Asia. The 1906 earthquake destroyed it almost completely, but its renovation and rebuilding process resulted in an even more attractive Chinese-style location. You’ll find a concentration of teahouses, theaters, temples, and souvenir shops in the area. If you happen to be in town during an important Chinese event, stop by to experience elaborate celebrations.
