Advantages: - Beautiful brick wall, aesthetically appealing furniture (a variety as well), texture contrast from floor to ceiling, clear style (rustic + modern). - Ceiling height and beams allow for lights and diffusers to be mounted high above talent, without any stands. Plugs available on top of the beams, so no extension chords required to mount lights up high (ladder available). - Space enough to remove furniture from shots and increase minimal look. - Plenty of natural light for varying needs Challenges: - The narrow room makes shooting from side-to-side challenging, as it makes background separation more difficult to achieve without extremely shallow DoF (even with a 2.8 35mm on a FF sensor). - The windows on the street side are not centered on the wall, which can disrupt symmetry. - Windows are not very sound proof, I would suggest sound-proof inserts for better audio performance. - Skylight is lets in natural light of course, but you may (as I had to) have to block it off with a sheet across the ceiling beams for continuity sake. Overall: - Excellent space for many uses, plenty of variety in one room, great price, beautiful location in town. Highly recommend!

  • Known for its incredible seafood dishes and selection of Asian cuisine, Seattle is undoubtedly a wonderful place to host a tea party.

  • With direct access to the great outdoors, the city offers lists of stunning backdrops, with breathtaking views, for a tea party.

  • You won't need an air conditioning system in Seattle, and coupled with the pleasant summers, the city beckons outdoor gatherings.

Disadvantages

  • Rainy City turns grey and dreary in the winter months, and even with less rain experienced, it is important to schedule the occasion at an opportune time.

  • The city’s constant traffic is inescapable, and it is important to keep rush hour in mind when scheduling your occasion and choosing a tea party venue.

  • Public transportation in Seattle is lacking, with heavy traffic and regularly delayed trains and buses. Go for an easily accessible tea party location or provide transportation for your guests.

Tips on How to Organize Tea Party Events in Seattle

Throwing a tea party may add a little bit of elegance to your next gathering. It's the perfect way to show off your excellent taste, while still keeping things light and fun. To organize a successful gathering, here are a few tips that might help:

  • Plan ahead: Start by scheduling the occasion, including deciding on a date, time, and location. Then, select a suitable theme that complements a tea party-centric occasion before proceeding to craft and send out invitations.

  • Customize the occasion: Send personalized invitations and include a handwritten note for a sentimental touch. You can also create custom favor bags or boxes for your guests to take home.

  • Choose the right venue: When selecting a location for your tea party, keep in mind the size of your guest list and the type of atmosphere you want to create.

  • Set the scene and start decorating: Choose tablecloth colors and centerpieces that reflect your theme. Then, set out napkins, plates, cups, and silverware for your guests.

  • Create a savory and sweet treats menu: No tea party is complete without delicious food on the menu! Offer a variety of finger sandwiches as well as sweets like scones, cookies, and pastries.
