We hosted a small baby shower here and it was perfect. It’s difficult to find affordable spaces in Seattle. This spot is centrally located, street parking was easy, and the owner was responsive and flexible. The space had everything we needed and the decor is quirky and fun. Thank you!

What an amazing location! The look and feel of the place is exactly as described, and Brian was an incredible host - so accommodating and responsive to our small production team. There are lots of great things to be said about this place. First, the host. It was the Friday morning before our Saturday shoot. I was scrambling for a location last minute (another spot had fallen through), and came across this house. Brian and I start chatting and he was super understanding and approachable - he was available to let us start shooting there within 24 hours. I was bowled over with gratitude. Throughout the day, small concerns of mine kept cropping up, and Brian was quick to respond with answers to my questions and responses to my needs. On the day of our shoot, he happily stayed out of our way to let us do our thing, but was still super responsive when I had small things come up or questions I needed to ask. All in all, couldn't have asked for a more accommodating host. Secondly, about the house: the entertainment room patio, which you see in the photos has the lovely mid-century fireplace - we had a lot of shots to get through and limited time to shoot, so this room was perfect. The window are huge and let in a massive amount of natural light. Doing our lighting setups was a breeze when we only needed to use 2 or 3 lights to get the look we wanted. There was also a decent amount of space to put equipment in the side breezeway, out of the way in a direction we would never have to shoot, which was very convenient. We also had an animal trainer on sight and Brian let us use a decent sized section of his garage to stage an area for our dog trainer's materials, and some crafty tables as well. Notes to prospective renters - the hardwood floors are delicate, so Brian asked that we wear booties outside and take them off. We ended up not wearing shoes at all (except for our talent) and everything was fine. It wasn't a problem at all, and actually gave the shoot a more laidback vibe, which was a nice addition. All in all, love this location and this host, can't wait to shoot here again one day!

This studio works for just about any type of shoot. You'll be working with professionals who are accommodating and kind. They are available when needed but also give you space to create. The studio comes with a fair amount of equipment that you don't need to bring in, and there are rentals available for almost any production. The natural light is gorgeous and without direct sunlight, and it's a space that you can proudly bring clients of every size to.

Absolutely amazing and would highly recommend! This was our first time using Giggster and Paul could not have been more accommodating and helpful during the booking process and throughout the day of the shoot. The house itself is incredible and a lot of care and attention has gone into making it the space it is now. We will definitely be using Paul's house again next time we do a shoot! Thanks so much again Paul!

Why Choose Giggster for a Bridal Shower Location in Seattle?

With Giggster, finding and booking bridal shower venues in Seattle will be one of the easiest things on your to-do list. The prices are reasonable, the amenities are plentiful, and the selection is top-notch:

  • Looking for a sort of rustic elegance to match the wedding theme? We've got casual farmhouses and historic mansions that will definitely fit the bill.

  • When the couple is somewhat unconventional, choose a venue like a modernized abbey, a colorful dance studio, or an elaborately decorated nightclub downtown. Each has enough space to hold at least 150 people.

  • Pick a spot with activities already built in. A pool table for a game or two, a large TV ideal for a slide show, and even a bowling alley where teams can compete for bragging rights.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Seattle for a Bridal Shower

If you happen to be deciding between a few different location options for the bridal shower, it's good to confirm that Seattle is the right choice.

Advantages

  • The scenery here is nothing short of breathtaking. Views of the water, mountains, Space Needle, and the downtown area lit up at night are great photo ops and even better backdrops for your venue in Seattle.

  • Seattle's accessibility means guests won't have to rely on driving to get to the venue (or find coveted street parking) and out-of-towners can use the convenient airport. Light rail and buses cover the city, and downtown is super walkable.

  • Seattle has a very strong foodie culture. Finding excellent cuisine for your event won't be an issue. The city has over 1,500 restaurants and counting, so you can easily pick a restaurant close to the venue for ease of transport.

Disadvantages

  • Let's just say the weather in Seattle is pretty unpredictable. Rain can come at any time and during any season. Although winters tend to run milder, with snow being an anomaly, you always need an inclement weather backup plan.

  • Due to the city's popularity, some downtown and waterfront locations might be very scenic but noise and privacy can be a challenge.

  • Outside of California, Seattle has the highest real estate prices in the country. This unfortunately can get passed on to the consumer in the form of higher food and other costs due to the higher-than-average overhead of rent.

Choosing the Right Type of Location for a Bridal Shower in Seattle

The best bridal shower venues are ones that meet your specific requirements, and luckily we have a staggering 80 Seattle options to choose from. It will be almost too hard to select a single one. Almost.

  • Cozy Homes – Why Not Be Comfortable? The various homes available in Seattle are pretty much made for hosting private events like bridal showers. The kitchen means you can easily prepare, serve, and store food, the living room is ideal for gifts and games, and the dining room can accommodate a lovely meal or act as a serve-yourself buffet table. And because it's Seattle, you can even rent a float home for added interest.

  • Lively Bars – Focus on the Food (and Drinks). Maybe your vision of a fun bridal shower includes cocktails? If so, choose from a French-inspired cocktail bar with eclectic decor or a 70s-themed rock-and-roll corner bar that's as quaint as it is comfortable.

  • Rooftop Decks – Outdoor Space Galore. Weather permitting, the Seattle skyline is an awesome focal point for your bridal shower—day or night. Go with a plant-filled deck overlooking downtown Seattle and Elliott Bay, and fortunately, most decks are attached to an indoor space for a rain contingency plan.

  • Creative Spaces – Perfect for Activities. Consider something a little out of the ordinary and rent a film or photo studio in Seattle for your party. Create fun videos, play active games with lots of space to move around, and even start a little dance party or karaoke session to keep things energetic.

  • Art Galleries, Bowling Alleys, and Plant Shops – Think Outside the Box. When a typical house or event space feels a little too formal or predictable, branch out and choose something different. Book unique bridal shower venues in Seattle, like a plant shop full of tropical greenery and wood tones, a bowling alley to keep things competitive, or a downtown gallery to sip cocktails among the precious artwork.

Planning a Bridal Shower in Seattle

Whether it's for yourself or someone else, having a specific bridal shower plan is truly the key to success. You won't forget anything important, and things should run smoothly the day of the event.

Start with a Fun Theme – Once you select the theme, a lot of other details will fall into place. Choose something like a Seattle coffeehouse brunch, a fancy garden party with tea and sandwiches, or give a nod to "something blue" and go with a nautical or under-the-sea theme.

You'll Need Activities – Get-to-know-you games and other fun activities can help strangers feel like part of the group and will encourage mingling. Some ideas include bridal bingo, DIY paper flower bouquets, and even an excursion to kayak in Puget Sound or a nearby lake can add flair to the festivities.

Consider a Pacific Northwest Menu – Honor the bridal shower's location and give a nod to the local flavors when you plan the menu. Put out bagels with cream cheese and smoked wild salmon, or craft your own charcuterie board with local meat and cheese from Pike Place Market or the University District Farmer's Market. Grab some local wine to wash it all down and your menu is complete!

Thoughtful Party Favors are a Must – Leave a lasting impression and send guests home with something special to commemorate the occasion. Grab some coffee from a small local roaster (ideally, not Starbucks), or hand out useful tote bags that you've personalized with things like the bride's favorite flowers or the wedding date. Depending on the customization, this can take time to arrange, so start early.

How to Save Money on a Bridal Shower in Seattle

Avoid spending too much on the bridal shower, and you'll have plenty left over for a nice wedding gift or to put towards the wedding itself. Here are some sure-fire ways to save:

Opt out of dinner and go for brunch instead.

Dinners with multiple courses can get really expensive, even if you're planning to make your own food. Give an evening bridal shower a pass and plan a daytime event that involves appetizers, brunch, or tea with scones and desserts. This will cut down one of the main budget busters of the party.

Avoid a full bar.

Alcohol is another hefty expense for any party, so limit the bar. Provide only beer and wine, which is generally cheaper than mixing cocktails. But if you do want a bigger selection of drinks, make the bar DIY, where you provide the spirits and the mixers, and guests can help themselves. Then, you don't have to hire a bartender.

Make or borrow decor items.

Table centerpieces, signs, and guestbooks can all be created by you relatively easily. For anything you can't make yourself, ask friends to borrow, and for flowers, hit up the grocery store rather than an actual florist to save cash.
