Not only is this home absolutely SPECTACULAR but it’s owner, Alexandra is the host of your dreams. She is the sweetest and very accommodating. We shot our brand launch photoshoot here in June 2022, and we left as great friends! We couldn’t have asked for a better location and host for our shoot. It’s sophisticated and elegant with modern touches and unique rooms you won’t find anywhere else. Each room in the house has its own unique style which gave us an amazing variety for our shoot! My favorite feature is the staircase that spirals all around the house and at the very top it has an amazing skylight. We had so much to work with, but most of all we had so much fun. Such a special home with the best host. You won’t find anything better.

Pros and Cons of Dance Shoots in New York

The population of hard-working people is the reason why New York is called The City That Never Sleeps but also the reason why the locals are considered unfriendly. There are both merits and demerits to hosting a dance shoot in New York.

Advantages

  • The food
The city's diversity is also quite evident through the selections of international fares available in the city. Treat your crew and talent to what the city has to offer.

  • The arts scene
New York is where you'll find a blossoming Theater District, more than 80 museums, and scores of art galleries. That is a compelling reason in itself to plan a dance shoot in the city.

  • The city that never sleeps
You've probably heard New York referred to as "The City That Never Sleeps." It's particularly helpful because most businesses operate 24 hours and you can access what you need at odd hours.

Disadvantages

  • It's expensive
Grab any discount extended your way because NYC is an expensive city. Partnerships and collaborations with other creatives can help lower your dance shoot budget.

  • Traffic
Traffic in New York is famously infamous and you won't be able to escape it entirely. Your best bet with a dance shoot is to perhaps use a single location or venue in close proximity.

  • It's a crowded city
Crowds and long queues can run you late in New York. Just steer clear of the city's major tourist attractions to also limit the noise disruptions experienced in these areas.

  • People work too much
NYC is a place where people hope to make their dreams come true and they put in the work. That's why the locals come off as an unfriendly lot and you'll witness it right on the streets because they don't stop unless they have to.

  • The weather
Whether it's winter, spring, summer, or fall, the weather comes with its share of problems. Go for a dance shoot location with amenities that comfortably address the conditions at the time.
