NOTE: Hours may be flexible from week to week (due to a fluctuating schedule on this end). If you don't see the hours you need, feel free to reach out to me. I might be able to work with your schedule.
Upper street-facing unit in a low rise building with eight units.
Beautiful natural light, a combination of modern and Art Deco furniture. Sleek black vintage lounge chairs, black low rise couch, black and gold Art Deco wallpaper on one full wall, gallery wall of original art, brass and glass bar cart and brass and glass Hollywood Regency occasional table, vintage stereo, vintage lamps with black shades. Layout is open living/dining/library with large west-facing, multi-pane windows. Floors are original oak hardwood. Crown moulding throughout.
Likely best suited for meetings and photography shoots, but some film shoots could work well also. There are enough place settings for dinner for six and mugs and water glasses for twelve. Complimentary tea and coffee will be provided.
The dining area features a white tulip dining table with four black wishbone dining chairs, set on a cowhide rug from South America. The feature wall in the dining room has black and gold Art Deco wallpaper and a round brass-rimmed mirror. A brass and glass bar cart sits in the corner. This area could be used for food/beverage shoots.
The living area features low-rise black furniture, a large cream and black ottoman, a cream-coloured shag rug, a brass and glass Hollywood Regency vintage side table, vintage lamps with large black shades, a gallery wall of original art, and a vintage stereo and vinyl records. This area could be used for a variety of photo shoots and as part of a film set.
The library/office/writing desk area features a vintage wooden writing desk and white cube shelves lined with books. The desk sits adjacent to the large, plant-filled west-facing, multi-pane windows. This area could be used in multiple ways, taking advantage of the beautiful natural light. The desk and chair could be moved, if needed, to create a blank floor space for use with whatever props you might wish to bring along.
A simple galley kitchen with old-school wooden cupboards and another large, west-facing, multi-pane window might suit a photoshoot with a vintage vibe.
The bedroom can be used as a changing area, with a full-length mirror, if needed.
ADD-ONS: I have an extensive list of props and equipment (backdrops, a green screen, clips, tripods, mics, lighting, light boxes, etc), available for moderate additional rental fees. A full inventory list can be provided upon request.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Under no circumstances should anyone move (or touch) the plaster and gold pregnant belly sculpture (visible in the photos, on the easel near the writing desk). It is one of a kind, very fragile, and my single-most beloved possession. If you wish it to be removed, please let me know at the time of booking and I will store it elsewhere for the duration of your rental time.
