We had our summer staff gathering here and could not have been better. So much space for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves for the day. Could not recommend enough. Look forward to coming back again next year.

Danielle’s place is absolutely stunning. We held our wedding reception here with about 55 guests. We rented the backyard and two floors of the house. There was loads of space and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The place didn’t need any extra decoration as it was amazing on its own. We were pleasantly surprised that there were lights already strung up in the yard too! Danielle is an excellent communicator and quick to help out when we needed it. She is very relaxed and even provided her kitchen chairs for our Hora Dance. Highly recommend this place. My only regret was not booking it for longer! We truly enjoyed the space.

It is such an amazing space! Very spacious and cute decor. I would recommend people to come here if they want anything from a chill vibe to a full on party. The neighbourhood isn't the best but with security at the door it makes it hassle free and safe.

This was our first time using Gigster, and overall it was a great experience. Sean was quick to respond to any and all questions we had. Price is very reasonable for how much space there is. The location is great. Very spacious with lots of tables and chairs, perfect for whatever you might have planned. The patio in the back is also a really nice feature. We would definitely book this spot again next time we need an event space.

Pros and Cons of Small Parties in Vancouver

Small party venues in Vancouver are becoming increasingly popular for hosting intimate events such as birthdays, anniversaries, and baby showers. While this allows smaller groups to enjoy the city’s nightlife, food, and culture on a more personal level, there are both advantages and disadvantages to organizing a party in a small venue.

Advantages

  • One of the biggest advantages of hosting small parties at local venues is that they tend to be relatively inexpensive compared to larger venues. This can make it an ideal option for those looking to celebrate with a tight budget.

  • Smaller venues provide an added layer of intimacy that larger establishments may not be able to offer.

  • Holding a party at a smaller venue often requires less planning and preparation than if it were held at a larger establishment.

Disadvantages

  • Although it’s nice not having many people around when having intimate events, one downside is that there tend to be higher noise levels due to more concentrated numbers.

  • Because smaller venues usually have limited space available for guests, they might find themselves cramped together rather uncomfortably if too many people show up unexpectedly.

  • Some people might find smaller places too cramped and lacking in energy due to their limited capacity, which could affect how lively your party turns out to be.

Tips on How to Organize Small Parties in Vancouver

Organizing a small party in Vancouver can be a fun and rewarding experience. With the right preparation and knowledge, you can ensure that your guests have a memorable time without breaking the bank. Here are some tips on how to organize small parties in Vancouver:

  • Plan your menu: Decide what type of food you want to serve depending on the atmosphere you’re aiming for and the number of guests that will be attending. Opt for simple yet tasty menu items such as finger foods, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. Consider adding ethnic flavors, too, if you want to make your event stand out from other gatherings.

  • Set up music and entertainment: Music is essential to any party as it sets the tone for how people interact with each other and influences their overall moods. Consider hiring professional DJs if you’re going for a more upbeat atmosphere or acoustic musicians if you’d prefer something more relaxed. If the budget is tight, create playlists and set up speakers yourself.

  • Get creative with decorations and lighting: Creative decorations can help transform even the smallest of spaces into stylish venues, especially when combined with innovative lighting solutions like string lights or candles! Think about colors that will fit with your theme (if there is one), as well as textiles that can easily be reused afterward. For smaller events, consider making things yourself rather than purchasing them, as it’s often cheaper while still providing outstanding results.

  • Invite guests and prepare invitations: Inviting guests should be done in advance so they have plenty of time to plan accordingly. Include all essential information regarding the date, time, location, and dress code within your invitations. Consider including an RSVP deadline, so you know exactly how many people will be attending beforehand!

  • Take care of supplies and drinks: Provide enough supplies based on the number of guests invited and add extras to avoid running out at night! When it comes to drinks, think about whether you want alcohol served at your event, as well as non-alcoholic drinks available throughout the night.
