It was an absolute pleasure to work in this space! David was incredibly professional, and I'd highly recommend renting this space if you get the chance.

The space is a gem! It's quite a bit LARGER than I initially thought it would be based on the pictures — ceilings are probably a solid 20-25ft high. Andrew was a dream to work with, super easy getting in and out with plenty of extremely helpful production amenities available on site for rental. A+!

My very first time renting a studio space and I was pleasantly surprised at the level of professionalism and help Mike offered. His space was amazing - so many props and so many different concept options available. Parking was also a plus. Will definitely be booking again!

This place is so huge. The gym lighting is gritty on its own but you have the freedom to bring your own lights. The hosts were always available and attentive. Will be back. They have so many options in one location for other types of shoots.

Beyond what the pictures can show, this space absolutely oozes with character, vibe, and history. Andres, the owner, is also incredible to work with and was personally onsite to help ensure that we had everything we needed for a successful shoot. Highly recommended!

A very versatile space with lots of character. Andre was helpful and was there to provide assistance throughout our production. Also helpful that he had a lot of gear on hand. Great space for doing interviews and recording sound, the space is well insulated from outside noise, you wouldn't think it being an old warehouse. Would definitely book again!

Andrew was a wonderful, helpful, and communicative host! We were hosting a secret theatrical performance for about 45 guests, and the space was absolutely perfect for our unique experience. Andrew had everything that we rented set up before we got there, and he was around for any questions or helping hand needs. The space is even more nuanced, striking, and beautiful than the pictures depict. 10/10 experience and space!

About Brooklyn

Brooklyn is surrounded by water with the Upper Bay to the west, Lower Bay to the south, and Jamaica Bay to the east, so there is no shortage of beaches in this borough. It is part of Kings County, which is the most populated county in the state of New York, with over 2.6 million residents. Its European history dates back to the 1600s when the Dutch settled in the area.

Today, Brooklyn is a bustling city famous for the Brooklyn Bridge as well as Coney Island and the nearby Statue of Liberty. But you will also notice that Brooklyn is full of gorgeous skyline and eclectic structures including unique warehouse spaces.

Securing warehouse venues in Brooklyn, whether for production or large-scale events, should be effortless. Seek out sought-after areas such as Sunset Park and East Williamsburg, where you can find an industrial warehouse conveniently located and perfectly suited for your event requirements. With plenty of natural light, these venues are ideal for photo and video shoots and daytime events.

Warehouse Space Options in Brooklyn

Once you find a great venue for your event, you will still have a lot of work to do. Why not let one of the many production vendors take some of that work off your list? Whether you need catering, photographers, or decorators, you can find them in Brooklyn.

Catering
If you choose a large event space, you will need food at some point, and rather than order takeout or cater it yourself, hiring a caterer is so much better. It makes things easier for you and you can be sure the food and drinks will be served professionally. Let them take care of the menu, cooking, setup, and clean up so you can enjoy the event.

AV Equipment and Services
Whether you are planning a product launch, popup, or any other kind of event, you will likely need some kind of AV equipment, such as microphones, speakers, or PA systems. If you need audio-visual or technological systems or services, you can find plenty of them in Brooklyn as well.

Furniture Rental
No matter what kind of event you are planning in your Brooklyn warehouse space, you will need furniture such as tables and chairs for guests as well as stages for displays. Whether you are looking for a whole warehouse full of stuff or just a few things, renting it is a lot cheaper and easier than buying it and bringing it yourself.

Videographer or Photographer
Depending on what type of event you are having, you will need photos or videos to use in the future. Rather than having to do it yourself, hire a professional to handle that so you can focus on what really matters, enjoying yourself.

Pros and Cons of a Warehouse Space in Brooklyn

Just like any city or neighborhood, Brooklyn has some pros and cons that you need to keep in mind when you decide to rent a warehouse venue for filming or events. Check out some of them below.

Advantages

The diversity
Brooklyn has a variety of nationalities and cultures, with over 800 languages spoken and hundreds of different cuisines, habits, and fashion choices. You do not have to worry about fitting in because there is no wrong way to dress, eat, or speak in Brooklyn.

Excellent food
Speaking of cuisines, you can find over a dozen Michelin-starred restaurants in Brooklyn, from the two-starred Scandinavian eatery Aska to the one-starred Mexican restaurant Claro. The borough is bursting with flavors for you to enjoy.

There is plenty to do
No matter what time of day, Brooklyn is always hopping with some sort of excitement. From the stellar nightclubs on Atlantic Avenue to the fun rides and games at Coney Island, you will never be bored in Brooklyn.

Public transit is awesome
Because there are so many people in New York City, the public transportation system is an important way to get around because most people do not even own a vehicle. Jump on the subway or bus to get anywhere in Brooklyn in just minutes without having to worry about traffic or parking, ideal for accessing your venue.

You can walk anywhere
You may not even need a bus or subway to get to where you want to go because Brooklyn is not all that large. Take a short walk, and you will find a plethora of shops, eateries, and parks.

Disadvantages

Traffic is horrible
As mentioned above, the traffic in Brooklyn is horrendous, no matter where you are going. If you cannot get there on foot, try the subway or take a bus, taxi, or rideshare service and let the driver handle the traffic.

Everything costs more
You may be shocked when you realize that the cocktail you just drank was almost $20 but that is the norm in Brooklyn. When considering warehouse spaces, expect the rental rates to be approximately three times higher than what you'd typically find in most cities globally.

Winters are cold and snowy
During the winter, the temperatures range from about 18 to 23 degrees. The city also gets about 25 inches of snow per year. This can be uncomfortable for guests who are more used to warmer temperatures.

The crime rate is high
Although New York City is known for its crime, Brooklyn is not as bad but it is still not the safest place to be. Compared to New York, Brooklyn has a crime rate that is higher than 91% of the rest of the cities. Williamsburg, Brooklyn Heights, and South Brooklyn are the safest neighborhoods.

The noise
When looking for your warehouse space for the next event, be aware of the noise factor. Being too close to a busy area can lead to constant sirens, horns honking, and even yelling.

Famous Locations in Brooklyn

The Empire State Building
You cannot go to Brooklyn without seeing the Empire State Building, but you should take the time to go inside and look around. See the 86th-floor observatory, where you can see all the New York attractions from over a thousand feet. Book a beautiful townhouse where you can see the Empire State Building from the deck as you relax after your production.

Brooklyn Bridge
Take a stroll across one of the most well-known bridges in the world from Brooklyn to Manhattan. The Brooklyn Bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world when it was built in 1883 at just over a mile long and you can get some fantastic selfies from up there.

Statue of Liberty
Another major attraction known all over the world, the Statue of Liberty, is just a short ferry ride away, and you can climb the 354 stairs to the crown, where you can see for miles. You can also get a stunning view of NYC from rooftop bars where you and your friends can enjoy a drink after the production.
