This charming boutique building was formerly home and recording studio to the Beastie Boys in their early career. Our 1,050 square foot penthouse loft features three walls of windows flooding the space with natural light and fresh air. The floating stairs lead to the 950 square foot rooftop space, a rare amenity in the city. The penthouse is column-free with a dramatic 16-21 feet rustic designed ceiling, an open layout, exposed white brick, hardwood floors and a private bathroom. This space is ideal for film shoots, photo shoots, fashion shows, product launch, digital content creation, art/photography exhibits, private social events/meetings, and a deluxe holding area for cast/crews. If additional space is required, there are other studios on the floor that can be rented for check-in, breakout or storage areas. We are located on Chrystie Street (between Canal and Hester), directly across from Sara Roosevelt Park. It's a short 2-minute walk from the Grand Street B/D express trains and half a block from Canal Street which has access to numerous subway lines including J/Z/6/N/R/Q/W/F. Easy access via the Manhattan Bridge to/from Brooklyn. Chrystie Street has a bike path with several Citibike stations nearby.
