About the Space

Big Shot Chicago is a 2700sf West Loop event space and production studio one block south of the Randolph Street "Restaurant Row" and Fulton Market entertainment district. This open loft layout is supported by pro-level video, A/V, and IT equipment, customizable for video or still production, green screen/black drape shooting, live streaming, video/podcasting, and corporate storytelling. We accommodate up to 50 guests and offer a private rooftop deck. Groups over 30 require one dedicated support staffer provided by the host (professional or assigned to a guest) for setup, stocking, and cleanup/resetting duties at the conclusion of the event. Groups over 40 require two dedicated support staffers provided by the host (professional or assigned to two guests) for larger cleanup and reset tasks. Tech is available for rental, and we provide expert video/audio technicians for production jobs on request (hourly or day rates as needed). We offer bluetooth connection to our studio-wide speaker system: volume must remain at or below 50% to avoid excessive noise – we are a moderate volume rather than club volume venue. BOOKING TIMES: Contracted start/stop times include in-advance food/drink/supplies delivery or setup, plus end of event breakdown, cleanup, and trash removal. If extra hours are required for pre-event deliveries or event setup, or post-event cleanup or pickup they will incur additional billing and can be added to the contract in advance or onsite.

    Lot of loft options in the city on giggster/peerspace etc. I've shot in probably half of them and it's always been a meh situation. Either issues with noise, issues with the space itself, issues with load in or whomever is managing or they are just beat to shit and the photos don't really show what the space truly looks like etc. This is the best loft in the city IMO. Gary and Steve were really great to work with, super accommodating. The space was great as well. We used it to shoot multiple interviews with various backgrounds. Easy load in if you have carts/lots of gear. We were able to have a gear staging area, client staging area, crafty/catering setup and our various shoot spaces with out all of these impeding on each other. Other bonus is they shoot there themselves and were able to assist us with some gear we needed last minute. They remained on site for all of our questions and just really enjoyed speaking with them. They also accommodated a scout. Last note, our client didn't want a soundproof studio so we were concerned about noise. Overall, we were able to knock out 11 interviews with little issue aside from occasional street noise but that's gonna be normal in these lofts. Highly recommend. Will be back.
