We loved everything about this studio! My husband and I had our baby shower here and it was a wonderful experience. I would give it a 10/10. The bathroom was clean, patio was perfect size for our taco stand, front porch and main entrance doors give it a very elegant look, stage was a perfect size for my balloon garland, and the amazing lights the studio provides made it a beautiful setting. Tigran has excellent costumer service, and is very accommodating. He replies quickly with any questions or concerns you may have. We would definitely book again and highly recommend it!

I loved shooting here. The location was perfect for my sci-fi film. Terry was super helpful during our shoot and answered all the questions I had about the location. She was super understanding. There was a slight issue with the noise of the elevator but Terry helped us resolve it. I would definitely shoot here again.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Seattle for a Rehearsal Dinner

An evening of fun with your guests is certainly exciting. But before you rush to book a venue, you'd better take into account the city of Seattle itself.

Advantages

  • It's one of the busiest, most cosmopolitan cities in the US. If you're looking for great food, you'll find it in abundance. Get the best caterers to curate a menu for the occasion.

  • There are very interesting neighborhoods and historic homes in Seattle. It's great for one-of-a-kind event venues to impress your guests.

  • There's a lot of scenic beauty and natural havens in and around Seattle. Your guests will be free to explore the parks and trails around the city in their leisure time.

Disadvantages

  • Unfortunately, the biggest con of Seattle is the weather. It's a very rainy city which could definitely ruin the ambience and make it difficult for people to travel to the venue.

  • Seattle's got huge traffic problems. The only way to really get around is by car which naturally leads to congestion and hours of wasted time.

  • The type of venues available here is definitely limited if you're judging by LA standards or NYC standards.

The Best Type of Venue for Your Rehearsal Dinner in Seattle

It's essential to have private dining spaces while planning a rehearsal dinner. You wouldn't want random strangers chatting and crowding about you at such a crucial time, would you? Look through Giggster's 42 event spaces for a spot your guests will never forget!

Restaurant – Formal Three-Course Meals. The perfect location for a rehearsal dinner for many reasons, it's best if you can book the whole venue and guarantee privacy for the evening. Whether you're looking for a cozy Italian restaurant or some of the most delicious Greek dishes in the city, Giggster can help you out.

Bar – Food and Fun Guaranteed. While it's not as coveted as a restaurant for a private event, a bar is nevertheless an amazing venue if you want your dinner to be a more fun and casual event. Host your friends and family at a rock-and-roll-themed bar or a French cafe with a cocktail bar and watch them enjoy the food and drinks of their choice.

Garden – Dinner with a View. A private garden space with sweeping views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains is an indulgence in rainy Seattle. But you can and absolutely should take advantage of such outdoor spaces for a summer wedding and rehearsal dinner! The enchanting pathways and trails allow guests to get lost in the foliage.

Private Estate – Luxurious Events. Where else would you find the most private dining rooms than at a house or estate? With the many historic homes scattered throughout Seattle, you can treat your guests to a calm and serene dinner to the backdrop of statement pieces like an old fireplace or a vintage garage door.

Loft/Studio – Private and Intimate Ambiance. Finally, if you're looking for a sweet and inexpensive event with your loved ones, you could rent out a loft or studio. Not only does this guarantee an intimate dinner without fear of disturbances, but you could deck up the place just to your liking and set out the food amid flower decorations that you've made yourself.

Planning Your Rehearsal Dinner in Seattle

Whether you're planning a luxurious seven-course seated dinner with your small bridal party or a more vibrant, raucous party at a bar on the eve of the wedding, there's quite a lot of planning to be done. And the sooner you get started, the less stressed you'll be on the day itself.

Make the Guest List Having a complete list of guests will not only help you decide on your budget and the kind of venue you're looking at, but it will also give you an idea of the theme of the rehearsal dinner. The guest count can just be siblings and parents or it could extend to the officiant and out-of-town guests!

Decide on Date and Venue Now, typically the rehearsal dinner takes place the evening before the wedding. But that's not a hard and fast rule. You could always celebrate a few days prior. And even if you don't have a proper wedding rehearsal, you could opt to have the dinner at a place close to where the ceremony will be held.

Curate Your Menu Food is an immensely important part of this event but it doesn't always mean a stuffy sit-down meal with the most expensive seafood dishes, although you can definitely do that if you want. Serving local delicacies is usually a hit with the guests!

Arrange for Entertainment You can go for a themed dinner, like an outdoor barbecue for a summer wedding. Everyone enjoys those! Or you can get a friend to play emcee for the evening and oversee all the toasts and speeches. That part shouldn't be omitted.

Saving Money on a Rehearsal Dinner in Seattle

You've got the big day, the actual wedding, still coming up! So you can be as lowkey and casual about the whole rehearsal dinner as you want. It doesn't need to be a big-budget event because it only involves the people closest to you.

Think twice about the venue.

A restaurant venue is great but having to rent out the whole place will definitely pinch your pockets. Why not host the rehearsal dinner in a cozy studio or loft or even the backyard of a private home instead? Yes, it will be a little more work on your part but it'll save you quite a bit!

DIY the decor.

Buy strings of fairy lights in bulk and hang them all around the venue for a more intimate atmosphere. You can also buy flowers yourself and make a small centerpiece for the dinner table.

Be unconventional about the meal.

Rehearsal dinners are really casual parties with your loved ones right before the wedding itself. There are no rules! Host a backyard barbecue and customize meals as per the preference of the guests or set up a taco bar with dozens of toppings. It's fun and stress-free while still being affordable.
