This was one of our favorite locations. The vintage touches with the Spanish tile and the original windows were incredible. It has character but also feels fresh and modern. Our photos have many lovely backyard views, and the casita was perfect for our crew. Thank you again!

Darren was a perfect host! The home is beautifully decorated and he let us use every inch of it inside and out for our shoot. We loved all the mid century modern furniture and accessories that allowed us to tell the story of our product. We will likely use Darren in the future as he also has another property and a vintage car for variety.

Planning Your Photo Shoot in Palm Springs

There's a lot that goes into planning a successful photo shoot in Palm Springs, so use these steps below to help you remember all your key tasks during the planning process.

Make a Plan – Start by creating a detailed plan for your Palm Springs shoot. What style of images do you want to capture? What emotions will they inspire? Which shots will you capture in what order?

Set Your Spending Limit – Decide how much money you can afford to spend on your project, and add up your expected expenses to find out if you're on track to meet your budget. Now is also the time to lock in a date for your Palm Springs shoot.

Book a Venue – Compare photo shoot locations in Palm Springs to find your perfect place. Whatever you want in a location—panoramic views of the mountain backdrop or the Indian Canyons, a spot overlooking rare cacti, views of the famous wind turbines, lighting equipment, mid-century modern architecture, a spa, a Palm Canyon Dr location, or anything else—shop around to find your dream Palm Springs space.

Book Talent – If you need to hire any models, make-up artists, set decorators, lighting assistants, or anyone else for your shoot, now is the time to do so.

Hire Equipment and Arrange Extras – The final step is to add all the finishing touches you need for a successful session. This could include renting lighting or camera equipment, buying props, renting extra furniture, or booking catering for the day of the shoot.

Saving Money on a Photo Shoot

Take a stroll along Palm Canyon Dr and it immediately becomes apparent that Palm Springs is a glamorous (read: expensive) destination. Keep the following tips in mind to help avoid blowing your photo shoot budget.

Make a project plan.

Make sure you have a detailed plan for your Palm Springs photo shoot in advance. This will ensure that you're as efficient as possible on the day of the shoot and that you make the most of the time you have.

Change the date if the price is better.

You might be able to save on the cost of your Palm Springs photography session by moving it to a weekday instead of a weekend. Booking a space for a few hours instead of the whole day will also lead to big savings.

Use the price search filter.

Giggster has a handy filter that lets you limit search results to properties that fit your budget. Use it to ensure that you only ever consider Palm Springs photo shoot locations that won't break the bank.
