I rented this loft for a short film that I was producing. Candice was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and was super accommodating. She was an incredible host who was always available to quickly answer any questions that I had leading up to the shoot and even the day off. The loft is absolutely beautiful! It is impeccably decorated and the stunning views of DTLA are unmatched. We had everything we needed - plenty of space to set up craft services in the kitchen, there was one bathroom for our cast and crew to use (we had under 15 people) and Candice even arranged for our group to park in the basement of the building's parking garage since it's not normally accessible on the weekends. The only reason I can not give it a perfect 5 star review is the issue of street noise. Unfortunately, on the Saturday that we were shooting, there were events happening in MacArthur park right below the building. Even though the loft is on the twelfth floor, we could clearly hear the live music, people singing, speaking on megaphones, etc. This made it nearly impossible to record useable sound. This was completely out of Candice's control and not her fault... I'm only sharing this information so that if you do decide to rent this amazing space, be sure to check for events on the day(s) you plan to shoot. But other that that, I highly recommend renting this space!

Famous Locations in Los Angeles

  • Griffith Observatory's Tesla Coil
Perched atop the hills of Los Angeles, the Griffith Observatory is home to one of the most captivating spectacles in the city: the Tesla Coil. Known for its high-voltage conical shape and electrifying displays, this world-renowned attraction draws visitors from all corners of the globe to witness the magnificent sparks it emits. This particular piece was owned by Dr. Frederick Finsh Strong, a physician who interested himself in the seemingly unfinished studies of the late Nikola Tesla. The Tesla Coil's awe-inspiring power is truly a sight to behold, bringing a sense of wonder and excitement to all those who witness it. Whether you're an electrical engineer or just a curious tourist, a trip to the Griffith Observatory's Tesla Coil is a great experience worth visiting.

  • The Getty Center
Nestled atop a hill in Brentwood, the main branch of the J. Paul Getty Museum overlooks the bustling metropolis of Los Angeles. The late Getty, a prominent figure in the petro-industrial world, had his entire property turned over to the Getty Trust upon his passing in 1976. This contribution went towards creating the impressive and intricate Getty Center, a sprawling establishment that took nearly two decades to plan and construct. This location features various art pieces worth visiting, from pre-20th century European paintings to multiple sculptures standing in vibrant gardens. Accessible via a futuristic hovertrain from its lower car park, the Getty Center serves as an all-encompassing destination for art lovers and history buffs alike.

  • Old Zoo Picnic Area
Situated in the heart of Los Angeles lies an unusual picnic spot that promises an unforgettable experience. The Old Zoo Picnic Area, located in Griffith Park, beckons visitors to explore the remnants of a bygone era. Skirting along the outskirts of the modern-day L.A. Zoo, this derelict and abandoned zoo enclosure offers a unique opportunity to glimpse the other side of the bars. It had originally opened in 1912 and presented only 15 animals. It was, however, abandoned in 1966 in favor of the current L.A. Zoo that opened then. One can roam amongst the rusted cages and old animal enclosures where lions, tigers, and bears once resided. Some may even say that the spirits of the former inhabitants still linger in the ruins. It's no wonder the Old Zoo Picnic Area has become a popular destination for urban explorers and history buffs alike.
