We had a fantastic experience filming at this space for a commercial shoot for a kid's product. We needed a space that could work as a daycare/kid's school backdrop but that was available and affordable to film in during the week, and this hit the mark perfectly. Communication with Jason was excellent- he usually responded within seconds, and was great about checking in to make sure we had everything we needed in the run-up to the shoot. Parking and load in/out were easy, the shoot could not have gone more smoothly.

Gabriel was amazing to work with. He is very prompt to answer questions. He was also very helpful the day of the party and made sure everything went smoothly. The school was the perfect venue for my daughter’s birthday as there were a lot of shade and seating. Great overall experience!

We had my daughters 4th birthday party here during the height of covid. It was absolutely perfect!!! We were able to invite all of the kids from her 2 preschool classes and not worry about exposure from other kids/families outside of our large bubble. Everything we needed was right at hand. We had popsicles, music, cake, pizza, bubbles, water play & Moana stopped by. The kid size tables where perfect! The sand box, trikes & play structure were also a big hit. It was so nice to have everyone together in a controlled/safe, exclusive environment. The kids were able to be kids & the adults could relax a bit & mingle. The party was epic! I'm not sure how we can top it next year. People are still talking about it 9months later. I've been meaning to do this review for a while. Also, Gabriel is amazing & very kind. We were able to see the place in person before booking it. I do wish there was access to a fridge/freezer & it was a bit far coming from LA or Culver City, but we would totally book again. So happy we could support a local business.

Disadvantages

  • Logistics: Planning the logistics of a party can be quite labor-intensive, as there are many details to consider, such as the invitation list, decorations, transportation for guests, and other activities.

  • Limited Space: Finding a venue that can accommodate all the guests is often difficult because most spaces in Los Angeles are limited or require significant rental fees for larger groups.

  • Weather Issues: The weather in Los Angeles can be unpredictable. If rain is predicted during the party, it could make it more challenging to manage and host the celebration outdoors with games or other activities planned.

Tips on How to Organize 1st Birthday Parties in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a great place to host a 1st birthday party, but there are some important tips you should keep in mind when planning:

  • Plan and book the venue and party supplies early: It is essential to plan adequately in advance to ensure the availability of the venue and resources; this will also give you sufficient time to finalize decorations, food selection, invitations, etc.

  • Choose an appropriate theme: First birthdays are a special occasion that deserves a unique touch; picking a suitable theme can help you set up decorations and organize a fun activity around it (e.g., a circus-themed birthday with clowns).

  • Select age-appropriate food options: Children tend to be picky eaters; choose foods that appeal to their taste buds, like mini pizzas, hamburgers, hotdogs, etc., while ensuring they are healthy and safe to consume.

  • Hire experienced entertainers: Hiring an experienced entertainer can make all the difference when dealing with toddlers or young kids; magicians and balloonists are usually excellent options for engaging them in creative activities during the event.
