Great studio space in SE Denver! Super nice, helpful owners. We did a video shoot in the medium white/gray studio. Future sound proofing will have to be a must for video but still photographers won't have any problems there!

Things to Consider for Your Film Shoot in Denver

You probably have cast and crew members and only need a perfect filming backdrop. Denver, Colorado, has an ideal location for every scene, but before committing to any space, find out how the city can benefit your project.

Advantages

  • Compared to other cities in America, Denver's movie locations are more budget-friendly to rent.

  • Denver is extremely movie-friendly; the local government incentivizes production houses and filmmakers.

  • Denver is well-connected to other cities, making transporting your crew and equipment easy.

Disadvantages

  • Film schedules are usually severely affected by the unpredictable weather in the city.

  • Even with a solid schedule, wrapping up may take a while due to the limited studio support. The city does not have as many fully equipped movie studios as other cities; booking a studio in advance is also best.

  • Denver's popularity as a production destination has increased, and so have the fees for licenses and permits. The lengthy application process also means securing the required documents before your start date may take time.

Denver, Colorado, is less expensive than other cities like San Francisco, New York, and Washington, D.C. However, it is easy to lose track of your budget. We can help you track your expenses so you can save money.

Can you have less expensive actors and artists in your film?

Hiring famous actors and artists like yesteryear artist Rodney Dangerfield can be more expensive. Instead, hire local artists or less famous actors for your film. Doing this means you don't have to pay extra for their dates and can wrap up filming in less than eighty days.

Can you depend on your crew to find a connection with local business owners?

Local vendors charge less for transport and logistics. You should hire local caterers, extras, props, costumes, lighting, and equipment. You may even score a good package deal on rental furniture and items.
