Super nice open space with high ceilings and lots of power outlets make this perfect for shoots. There was also a nice green room, bathroom, and WiFi for talent to use. Decent parking outside for a small crew. The host was very communicative and even had someone meet us to give a quick tour and make sure we had everything we need.

Pros and Cons of Photo Shoots in Denver

The list of pros and cons of photo shoot locations in Denver is a mile long. All joking aside, there are a few pros and cons you should familiarize yourself with before planning your photo shoot in Denver. Preparing in advance can turn a disadvantage into an advantage.

Advantages

Stunning beauty
Many venues in Denver offer breathtaking views of the mountains, providing a perfect background for any photo or film production. Natural beauty automatically improves your photos by a certain percentage, so you are bound to have higher-quality images.

Sunny weather
Denver has snow in the winter. There’s also sunshine in the winter months, but then in the summer, it stays sunny most of the time. This makes an outdoor photo shoot location in Denver even easier because you’re not delayed by rain or other bad weather.

Craft breweries
Beer fans rejoice! Denver is home to 92 breweries within the city limits, and quite a few of those are downtown. If you include the surrounding metropolitan area, the number of breweries increases to over 148. Many of these breweries offer their spaces for event or filming purposes so you can have a cozy setting that's also unique.

Disadvantages

The cost
The jury is still out on this one. Denver is expensive, or it isn’t. That depends on your perspective. The city is less expensive than New York City or Los Angeles. However, as the population of Denver has increased, so have the prices.

Dirty city
There are some top ten lists that you don’t want to be on. Unfortunately, Denver is in the top ten list of dirtiest cities in the United States, specifically because of the high number of rats, mice, and other pests.

Increased crime
The crime rates in Denver for both violent and property crimes are higher than the national average. It’s a large city and it’s growing fast, and that certainly contributes to the crime rate. Stick to the safe areas of the city when choosing a shoot location.

Famous Locations in Denver

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
Everyone should visit Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. It’s a unique experience, and you can go on your own, not during a concert or musical event, and be just as wowed. During the day, you can wander around the theater and explore, use the stairs for exercise, or just sit and enjoy it. The Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre is also one of the best locations for stargazing in Denver. There’s plenty to see and do here, including a hall of fame, trading posts, and recreational opportunities.

Downtown Denver Microbreweries
Denver is famous for its microbreweries, hence the nickname 'Napa Valley of Beer.' There are a lot of breweries in Denver and Colorado in general, however, most of them are high-quality breweries with delicious beer (for those who drink beer). These locations are as unique as the beers they create, so visiting can be fun even if you don’t want to taste the beer.

Larimer Square
It is not all mountains and microbreweries in Denver. Larimer Square is an area downtown that dates to the Civil War. A fun fact is that Buffalo Bill lived here at one time. The buildings were refurbished and became Denver’s first historic district in 1971. There are art galleries, shopping, and restaurants to enjoy while you marvel at the old architecture.
