About the Space

This open space is situated in the Lower East Side/Chinatown and within a 50,000 sqft charming boutique building that was formerly home and recording studio to the Beastie Boys in their early career. Our 1,040 square foot studio features wooden beams across the ceiling and windows allowing for natural light and fresh air. The studio is a column-free open layout and has hardwood floors. Elevator building. Temperature controlled HVAC. This space is ideal for an art gallery, yoga/meditation studio, film/photo shoots, digital content creation, and learning pods for students preferring private education. Many public and charter schools are in the neighborhood, and this is a quite space away across from Sara Roosevelt Park yet away from the hustle and bustle around the corner on Canal Street. If additional space is required, there are other studios on the floor that can be rented for check-in, breakout or storage areas. We are located on Chrystie Street (between Canal and Hester), directly across from a park. It's a short 2-minute walk from the Grand Street B/D express trains and half a block from Canal Street which has access to numerous subway lines including J/Z/6/N/R/Q/W/F. Easy access via the Manhattan Bridge to/from Brooklyn. Chrystie Street has a bike path with several Citibike stations nearby.
