About the Space

TWO HOUR MINIMUM RESERVATIONS! Our space is best-suited for commercial and creative productions, portrait and still life photo shoots, both for natural and studio lighting. The main common area is around 750 sq ft, with 15ft ceilings, and two large industrial south-facing windows that illuminate the space. Located in an old factory, the loft has a genial balance of white walls, wood textures and brick, and has a comfortable bohemian vibe. Guests have access to the common space, kitchen, and bathroom. There is also a spacious decked rooftop with views of Brooklyn and the Manhattan skyline, that you may use - it's public to the tenants of the building so I'm not responsible for its condition. A notable feature that makes the roof unique are the coops of trained pigeons that dot the neighboring roofs - sometimes you can catch the neighbors corralling the pigeons with flags. The roof is equipped with working electrical outlets, but you need to bring your own extension cables. The loft is located on the ground floor of the building and doors are wide. NOISE Location is very quiet at the back of the building, windows facing the private lot (five cars maximum with very little movement). No street noise. LIGHTING sunlight spectrum dimmable overhead lighting. Ground floor loft with two large loft windows providing lots of sunlight / opportunity to simulate consistent lighting with lighting rig outside. IN-HOUSE PRODUCTION Full service production offered in house via https://applehousepictures.com/. BOOKING POLICY Please book the time that you need for setup, shooting, and breakdown/cleanup. As a courtesy we can allow you and your team to arrive 5 minutes prior to booking time, but not earlier, so please plan accordingly. NEIGHBORHOOD Maria Hernandez Park within walking distance, as well as coffee shops, restaurants, and street art. There are electrical appliance shops, a few groceries, and a hardware store all 2 minutes away in case you need any last minute or spur of the moment supplies for your production.
