This was a beautiful location to shoot a short film, the interior building is unique and there's enough room to set up equipment. The surrounding environment is also breathtaking and there's a nearby creek that's nice to walk around. There was some issues with sound as there was work being done on the adjoined properties but other than it was a wonderful place to shoot!

About Topanga

When you think of a small town, this is the kind of place that comes to mind. Topanga holds strong at a population of only about 8,500 people. This is in stark contrast to nearby cities such as Los Angeles, which are the definition of a typical California lifestyle.

Topanga is located within Los Angeles County but is within the Santa Monica Mountains that sprawl across the area. It is located within Topanga Canyon and the surrounding hills, so it has a unique point of view.

Topanga was discovered and established by several Native American tribes, and the meaning of the name is “where the mountain meets the sea.” This is a perfect description as the top of it lies within the mountains, but then the lowest part is the canyon down to sea level.

This is a place where celebrities like to visit as the summers are warm and dry, and don’t experience the same heat as other regions in the area. It is not a huge city for the aging population, but many come here to visit and take in the gorgeous canyon and surrounding areas within the mountain region.
