Ozlem and her fabulous staff went above and beyond with planning, assisting, and creating the most incredible space for my daughter’s Surprise Bridal Shower! This space is spectacular with a rustic yet elegant feel in the heart of SoHo. Technology for featured music and film were in place, along with the assistance of her tech specialist. The staff helped us enormously with the set up as I was just owing out of the hospital and cancelling the shower was never an option! Ozlem stepped in as if she had known me for years and I will never forget her enthusiasm, support, and genuine kindness. I’m delighted to call her my fiend now! My daughter and her fiancé are delighted to be able to refer customers and clients to this wonderful space in the near future! Bravo, Ozlem!!

Tips on How to Organize Unusual Parties in New York

Arranging an unusual party in New York can be daunting due to the city's complex layout and lively atmosphere. However, with some planning, you can throw an event that your guests won't soon forget. Here are some tips:

  • Choose the perfect venue: Consider what will fit your theme when picking an unusual party space. For example, a historic building or ballroom might be best if you're hosting a masquerade ball. On the other hand, if your theme is more modern, consider renting out an art gallery or artist studio.

  • Set up transportation: With so much to explore in New York City, ensure your guests have access to conveying. Think about inviting a shuttle service so your attendees can get around town safely and comfortably while they explore all that NYC has to offer.

  • Create custom décor: When decorating for an unusual party in New York City, tailor everything around your specific theme. For instance, if you want to throw an underwater-themed bash, inflate beach balls and hang fishnets from the ceiling to help set the mood.

  • Send unique invitations: To set the tone for your event in advance, mail out unique invitations that reflect the personality of your unusual gathering. Include any additional information on the dress code and relevant directions to warrant everyone showing up ready for a fun evening.

Famous Locations in New York

  • Constitution Marsh Audubon Center and Sanctuary - Garrison
Taking a hike at the Constitution Marsh is undoubtedly one of the best activities to do in New York. Nestled within the Hudson Valley, it offers a plethora of scenic sights and lush wildlife for you to enjoy. Starting from the parking lot, this trail's 700-ft long boardwalk allows you to enjoy the fresh air as you traverse the tidal marsh. As such, bring your binoculars and be on the lookout for any colorful feathered or furry friends that call this place home.
  • Elevated Acre
Unbeknownst to many, long before the High Line was one of New York City's most popular attractions, the Elevated Acre had already provided downtown commuters a lunchtime sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of city life. This unexpected park sits on an acre atop 55 Water Street, though you won't find signage promoting it to the public. An escalator and stairs separate this secret garden from Battery Park and the Hudson River. Step onto the terrace and enter an oasis of plants, walking boardwalks, and amphitheater seating so inviting that you want to break out a blanket for a riverside picnic lunch.
  • Roosevelt Island Tramway
The feature, with its unique location and proximity to both Manhattan and Queens, has long presented a challenge regarding transportation. Cutting-edge solutions have been implemented to connect this bustling community better. In 1909, a trolley ran across the Queensboro Bridge; when that mode of access ceased in 1957, people relied on boats until the bridge to Queens opened up. However, after rapid development saw the island becoming a residential community in the 1970s, plans were drawn up for an additional subway stop – which experienced several roadblocks before an aerial tramway was needed to keep things running smoothly. First set up in 1976, this iconic system underwent extensive renovation in 2010 and today transports people back and forth from Manhattan at an eye-opening 250 feet above the East River.
