We used this location for my first video shoot. As far as booking, Lauren responds promptly and is easy to work with. The manager was present during the shoot and away from the set. He was very accommodating and friendly. The bar was super clean and very beautiful. My participants for the video were WOWed. The rooms had different themes, so it looked as if I was at more than one place, especially since I changed my outfit. I really liked this place and my husband said he'll take me back there for some drinks when I get my Masters degree. I'm so excited!

  • Book early: Do it once you have found a venue that works for you and your guests. Locations in New York City tend to book up quickly due to high demand from other events. So act fast if you want the best deals and availability for your desired place!

  • Create a comprehensive timeline: Events don't happen overnight; they take time and effort. • Get help if needed: Arranging an event is no easy feat. If it begins getting too overwhelming or complicated for just one person or group of people to handle alone, don't hesitate to ask for assistance from professionals specializing in these services.

  • Follow-up after the event: You may think once everything is said and done on the day of the event, all that is left is cleaning up. However, following up with guests after an affair is also extremely important. It provides valuable feedback vital for future events and helps strengthen relationships with existing guests or sponsors involved in making this event possible.

The collection is vast and diverse, ranging from historical events to social movements, but the medical photographs truly capture the imagination. One can almost picture the medical students of the 19th century smiling beside their half-dissected human corpses as they proudly pose for the camera. Or see the twisted bodies of individuals with genetic abnormalities, skin conditions, and tumors captured in sepia tones on film. Unfortunately, the Burns Archive is not open to the publicbut for those lucky enough to secure a private tour, a world of medical, historical, and photographic wonders awaits.
