Reviews for Festival venues in New York, NY

Camillia Y.
4
The host Peter is great with communication. The space is beautiful, exactly what I was looking for and the security guard was nice and helpful throughout my event, the only reason I give this venue 4 stars instead of 5 is because when I arrived there was a strong smell of smoke and some of the beautiful white furniture had burn marks that I had to cover up for my dinner party.
Breanne F.
5
Clean Serene and colorful, your guests are definitely going to praise you for choosing this space.

We rented the space for a sentimental gathering of family and friends, with numerous people speaking. Clara was extremely easy to deal with, very responsive with her communications, and helped out in every way possible. Our needs were very specific, and she met every single one of them happily. She was a delight to work with, and the space itself was absolutely phenomenal. Very many of our participants remarked on how amazing it was, and wondered how we were ever able to find such a gem. If the picture looks like your cup of tea, I highly recommend it. It is spectacular.

I celebrated my 21st birthday in this beautiful space and could not have had a better experience! The owner and Ellis were super accommodating given that this particular age can get a wild rep. They allowed me to see the space well in advance and had everything set up and ready to go within minutes of my arrival on the date of the booking. All my friends were asking how I found such an amazing place :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

About New York

New York is perhaps the most famous city in the world, home to Broadway, the stock exchange and millions of people doing millions of things all the time. As a city of many nationalities, it is possible to find anything you’re looking for somewhere in the city. Whether you’re looking for shopping, food, or somewhere to learn about the history of this fantastic place, there’s more than enough to see and do in New York.

New York is also a city big on entertainment. The Big Apple is a place where many go to see and be seen, and shows on Broadway or concerts in Times Square are popular attractions. New York festival venues are much-visited places for entertainment seekers, and local parks with grandstands are also fabulous locales to catch an act.

You’ll find that the climate can range quite greatly. The summers can be warm and humid, especially in the inner city areas where there is a microclimate, and the winters can get brutally cold. So long as you pay attention and prepare for the weather, you’ll be able to enjoy all the city has to offer.

Festival Venue Options in New York

Holding a festival is loads of fun, but putting one together is not so easy. If you’re not sure what you’re doing you’ll probably figure out too late that you missed some things. If it feels like too much, or you just want to make sure you got everything right, call in some help from many of the local businesses in New York to provide the expertise to make your festival shine.

  • Food
One thing no festival is complete without is good food. However, who has time to prepare a whole bunch of different food options to feed crowds of people? You’ll want various menus or maybe even food trucks and vendor stalls so that you can keep everyone happy and fed. Hiring professionals with the know-how to feed large crowds is generally the way to go.

  • Entertainment
What’s a festival without fun? The point of a festival is that you’re celebrating something. There are a lot of reasons to have a festival, but if you don’t book any entertainment, you’re not being very festive. Whether you book a DJ for live music, a live band, or something else, finding the right entertainment options can make or break your festival.

  • Photographer
Another thing you can’t forget about your festival is that a lot is happening including some great memories. Unless you spend all your time taking photos, you’ll likely miss some of the most important moments of the event. Hire a photographer to take the shots and find those special moments that will make for memories that will last a lifetime.

Festival Venue Companies in New York

Once your narrowed down where to book your festival venue in New York, make a list of local companies that can jump onboard with the planning.

  • Neuman’s Kitchen Catering and Events
Neuman’s Kitchen Catering and Events specializes in ideation, meaning they can take the concept for your festival venue and turn that into culinary wonders that will please all your guests. They can even help with design and planning around your event theme if you need it. Originally opened in 1996, Neuman’s has been rebranded twice, once in 2003, and once in 2013. One thing has stayed the same, their dedication to artfully inspired dishes that are as delicious as they are beautiful.

  • Remixologists
When you want to bring something more than ordinary to your festival then having a live entertainer is the way to go. People love to listen to live music and the best way to get live music to your event is by hiring a live DJ. Remixologists is a DJ company that specializes in catering music to your specific event. Started literally out of a college dorm room, the philosophy behind Remixologists has always been to get people on their feet and dancing and elevating the vibe of any party.

  • Ayano Hisa Photography
Every event has special moments, but when you’re part of the action it can be impossible to capture those moments for posterity. Hiring a photographer can make sure you save all the right moments without having to take your mind off the action at the festival. Ayano Hisa Photography is all about capturing those decisive moments and turning them into something truly special that will last a lifetime. Ayano Hisa is proud to be a Minority Woman Owned Business (MWOB) and brings a dramatic documentary style to every photo she takes.

Pros and Cons of Festival Venues in New York

New York is the capital of commerce, high fashion, art and culture for the eastern coast of America. Millions of people every day make their living there and find great options for entertainment, food and more. Although New York has plenty to offer, that doesn’t mean it is without any downsides.

Advantages

  • Nightlife
Being a city full of life at night, a festival venue in New York will have plenty of traffic. A festival of any kind will fit right in this city.

  • Opportunity
Being a city with as many high profile companies and industries as New York has is a definite advantage for anyone looking for a new career, looking to get their start or looking to hire new talent for their own business venture.

  • Food
Another advantage that New York has over other major cities is that it has diversity the likes of which nowhere else can match. What this means is that you’ll find some of the best food options for any style or type of cuisine you can imagine.

Disadvantages

  • Cost of living
The Big Apple may be a great place to live, but doing so will cost you more than a pretty penny. If you’re trying to put together an event or just plan for accommodations and other minor things, you’ll want to take into account the extra cost when making a budget.

  • Congestion
With a city as large as New York, one thing you’re not going to be able to get away from is the large crowds. Whether you’re visiting the more touristy areas or just walking to your favorite spots you’re going to have crowds of people to deal with. Plan for it taking a bit longer to get places.
  • Traffic
Along with the number of people on the streets, there’s also the issue of the number of cars on the road. If you’re commuting into the city proper from one of the 5 boroughs you could be spending hours in traffic. It might be a good idea to try public transit instead.

Famous Locations in New York

  • Chelsea Market
If you like food, then the Chelsea market is the place to go after your festival. This former Nabisco factory where it is reported that the Oreo cookie was invented has been converted to a shopping mall type venue with dozens of delis and other eateries for folks to enjoy.
