This space has a really great vibe, wonderful management, and was perfect for our shoot. The variety of rooms gave us great shooting options. Our crew and cast all had a great time here. It's centrally located and easily accessible for our team who came from all parts of town. We will definitely be back for another shoot.

Location was perfect. Gerry was really nice and accommodating. We shot on a weekend so there was no interference. There was plenty of space to load in/out with an elevator. There are also plenty of crafty/lunch options next to the location. Will definitely film there again if I ever need an office set again.

About Seminars

Seminars exist to instruct a group of people of varying numbers on certain topics that further one’s knowledge. In such a case, guests in a seminar are expected to engage with the speaker. Seminars are a great way for introducing new ideas and communicating with those involved with the topics being talked about.

That’s why it's so important for a seminar to be so engaging. Preparation for the event is a lot more than just researching a topic and speaking on it. There are other factors such as budget, theme, arranging the dates and speakers, and most importantly, the venue.

With the proper venue, which you’re sure to find, a seminar could take on an atmosphere that stimulates the minds of those attending, keeping them focused on the topic at hand. With the proper locale, your seminar could go from a boring talk to one that keeps the audience at the edge of their seats.

The Best Seminar Venues

No seminar is the same as the next one. With so many topics and themes to talk about, it is vital the venue chosen for the event is perfect. It should fit the theme as well as encourage guests to stay focused and engaged with the topic that’s being discussed.

  • Hotels
Hotels are great seminar venues as most hotels have large ballroom spaces perfect for a large-grouped seminar. Eventually, when the speakers and the guests decide to take a break, hotels offer food services that are both delicious and nearby, thus reducing the need for people to leave the venue.

  • Country Clubs
With large outdoor and indoor spaces intended for small and big groups as well as food service options much like hotels, you’ll find that country clubs are great for hosting seminars. Atmosphere-wise, country clubs are the perfect locations for a more laid-back setting prompting both guests and speakers alike to remain casual and friendly.

  • Library
What better way to encourage a learning environment than at a library? While the space available depends on the size of the group and the library, most would agree that it’s a good venue with the least amount of distraction. Both the speakers and the guests present at the seminar are sure to maximize their learning experience. Although, it is likely that food and drink won't be allowed within a library.
  • Theater
For a more creative group of guests that consists of artists and the like, how about using a theater to conduct a seminar? Much like a library, it’s the ideal space for encouraging a creative atmosphere that everyone is sure to appreciate. From the props available, it’s also a great space for encouraging team-building experiences that are sure to deepen connections among the guests. The Million Dollar Theater in Los Angeles is a great example of a theater venue you’re sure to love.

  • Cozy Homes or Café Spaces
There are times when a seminar topic calls for a comforting, cozy environment. That being said, instead of choosing a cold lecture hall or office space, there are interesting homes and even cafés or bars that can provide an easy-going mood. With an available kitchen for food service and a cozy atmosphere, you are sure to build friendships among the guests and make them more likely to listen to what you have to say.

What to Look for in Seminar Spaces

Choosing the right seminar venue is just one step of the planning process. Once you have a list of possible venues, it’s time to investigate the different options that make it the perfect location to host a seminar.

  • Location
Even though some seminars are limited to a number of people, it’s very important that those people show up on the day. One way to ensure their arrival at your seminar is to choose an easy-to-get-to location. When choosing a seminar venue, consider how easy it is for your speakers and guests to reach it with their various modes of transportation.

  • Atmosphere
A venue is only part of what creates the right atmosphere for the seminar. When hosting an event with a focus on team building, it’s important that you choose a space that either has enough space for some team building games or amenities that you’ll need depending on your theme. That way, your guests immediately know what they came for.

  • Space
Whether you’re hosting a public seminar or a private one, it’s important to make sure that the venue you have chosen for the event has enough space for everyone. It won't do you any good to choose a location that has the right mood for the theme of the seminar if some of the guests have to stand or sit uncomfortably.

  • Catering
Depending on how long the seminar will take, often, breaks need to be taken. A great way to keep the audience captivated, even during the breaks, is to offer a food service through the venue or with a local catering company. Although, you may have to make sure that the venue allows for food to be brought in. A sports bar and restaurant is perfect for a small, cozy seminar with great food to boot!

Seminar Inspiration

Looking for inspiration to conduct the best seminar? Use the ideas below as a starting point.

  • Research Seminar at the Local Library
Research seminars are aimed mostly at students who are intent on mastering certain skills to advance them further in their education. With academics being its main focus, the perfect seminar venue would be a library. Set against the backdrop of books and the peace a library can offer, guests can focus easily.

  • Orientation Training at the Country Club
The country club has plenty of activities everyone is sure to enjoy. With the various team sports as well as indoor and outdoor facilities to host a meeting, guests and speakers will listen intently and most of all, enjoy their stay.

  • Self-Help Seminars at the Gallery
The best part about hosting a seminar at a gallery is the number of decorative changes you, the host, can make. An open area and various props and furniture to choose from are all you need to ensure that your guests and speakers feel the fun. A downtown space can offer both a modern and days gone by twist to all events, which just might be the little bit of fun your seminar event needs.
