Haldeman Miller Bregman Hamann, the architect behind 300 North Meridian in Indianapolis, chose striking black windows and brownish-reddish granite for the exterior of the building. Construction started in 1987, with financing from Browning Investments. They added a copper-colored dome to the top of the skyscraper. Only the eastern side reaches the full height; however, both sides slant inward in a staircase shape from north and south toward the east.
