About the Space

A warm and elegant Gold Coast property originally built in 1918 with many recent renovations. From floor to ceiling, there are many artistic architectural details. The property also features two beautiful gardens. The home has been featured in Home & Garden magazine. We have three units that can be used. We are offering our home as a set for movies and TV shows, as well as photo shoots and special events. The entire property is covered in original artwork and unique artisan furniture. Mostly dark wood and classic styles, with pops of modernity. The first unit is a 1,600 square foot, single bedroom condo with a balcony and access to the courtyard that is lined by vinery. It has a grand living room with elaborate plaster moldings on the ceiling, a large chandelier, and beautiful herringbone wood floors. This living room space is great for large parties and can likely fit about 50 people comfortably. Bathroom has a large clawfoot tub and black and white hexagon tiles. The second unit is a 4,500 square foot 3 bedroom unit with a rooftop garden deck and access to the courtyard. The kitchen/living/dining room is a wide open space offering Chicago's largest residential fireplace. The Italian Renaissance style unit has tons of natural lighting, unique stairways and exposed interior brick walls. The last unit is a small, funky studio that includes a kitchen and bathroom. Currently displaying life-sized animal sculptures and a large chandelier. A unique visual experience. Near by: 2 blocks from North Avenue Beach which has a great skyline view, 1/2 a block from Lincoln Park, Chicago History Museum, 0.7miles to Lincoln Park Zoo.

    We used this space for our small wedding ceremony/reception. The space fit 15 of us perfectly. The vibe fit us as a couple just right and my family felt right at home. We had access to the kitchen for our caterer and my family to sit around and chat with each other around the fire, the large dining room fit us all comfortably to eat at one big table, the sitting room was were we did our ceremony. In front of the fireplace with the chandelier added the perfect ambiance. And to top it off it was warm enough for my family to enjoy the courtyard and rooftop. Amanda helped us through the whole process and was there in a second if we needed her- the day wouldn’t have gone so smoothly without her and the owner is the nicest person who made us all feel welcome. I genuinely feel like we found the coolest venue and couldn’t have imagined a better space for us. Highly, highly recommend using this space for a small intimate wedding. We will never forget our special day and the hidden gem that made it all possible.

    The house is incredible and provides a ton of different looks and options. The host, Leo, was very helpful and responsive throughout our production. We would happily work with them again. The house has residents so we would recommend asking for updated photos of the house as a few things had changed since the listed photos were taken.
