This space is 1900 square feet of pure magic. Built 100 years ago, this building used to manufacture farm equipment but was converted to artist lofts in the 1970s. There are many features to explore within the space to enjoy it's unlimited creative potential. The loft features a built in dance floor (12x14ft), sonos, wall of studio mirrors, photography set up, two giant skylights, and total privacy from neighbors, open air design, wall of plants, 10 person dining table, guest bed, and full kitchen, breakfast nook, and bathroom upstairs. There are unlimited possibilities within the space to create film, art and photography. Set up is perfect for dance, yoga, aerial silks and performance of all kinds. Wonderful place to host a meeting of minds and spirits. The skylights create an amazing diffused light all day. Skylights vary in color from all white, gray or are blue and white depending on the weather. Best way to have total control over all lighting is to shoot and record after sundown. Magical hours of light are between 5-8 pm. Recording audio you have to tolerate some occasional street noise but I've always found the sounds here authentic to the Oakland and totally workable. I look forward to hosting your production, event or meeting in this one of a kind space experience.

This is a cozy space with beautiful natural light, designed to look like a contemporary home and made to be comfortable particularly for boudoir sessions. Perfect also for headshots, lifestyle shots, fashion, and more. It also functions as a traditional photo studio, with a portable backdrop stand and many rolls of seamless; I've shot catalog shoots with multiple models. Note for video producers: there is ambient noise from the street, but depending on what you're shooting, that could be no problem. Several renters have shot music videos there and loved it.
