Great shoot location, great communication and really easy to work with. You may have to pay off some neighbors if you street clear etc. but all are super accommodating. Would highly recommend.

Denis was absolutely amazing. Not only does this house have an amazing look but Denis was super accommodating and responsive, pretty much let us have the respectful run of the place, and was totally understanding when we needed extra time. Neighborhood is super quiet and friendly and easy parking, load in/out, etc. Highly recommend!

Charles was amazing! Helped us find the suite number and got us set up and going within minutes of showing up. The space was all ready when my team and I showed up so all we had to do was have Charles turn the lights on and start shooting. Will definitely be coming here again.

Shooting here was a pleasure! The house is amazing on its own and the interior design leaves very little for the art department to do. Would absolutely come back here for another shoot.

A terrifically beautiful location, especially on the inside! Permits are generally easy to get in Glendale for this space, especially if you give them advance notice. Robert, the owner, is very friendly and professional, and has taken a LOT of time to make the house visually rich for filming. Important to note, make sure you bring plenty of material to protect the hardwood floors, a table to do makeup and hair, and a wardrobe rack. Also, there is no food allowed inside, so a table and coolers for food and drinks are a very good idea!

About Glendale

Glendale, California is just 10 miles north of downtown Los Angeles, but the picturesque city at the base of the Verdugo Mountains feels thousands of miles away. It’s a smaller city with a population of only around 196,000 people and a booming residential area. But, it’s also home to a thriving cultural and economic scene, as well as some Hollywood stars.

The city boasts a 15-acre shopping center, Americana at Brand, that really put Glendale on the map. The Disney Creative Campus is also located here, as well as a mixture of restaurants, museums, and outdoor activities.

Glendale is also a great place to spend time outdoors with temperatures in the 70s and 80s all year long. There are approximately 50 public parks in the city to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. With all of these amenities, it just makes sense to have your photo shoot venue in Glendale.

Photo Shoot Venue Options in Glendale

There are a lot of choices for photo shoot venue options in Glendale, and the supporting cast of catering companies, furniture rentals, and transportation companies allows each shoot to have a stellar experience. The city is used to hosting photo shoots and events, meeting the needs of clients is second nature.

  • Catering
Catering is the lifeblood of a project. Sure, you need the idea, budget, people, and focus of your photo shoot. But without catering the whole thing could be a bust. Glendale caterers have you covered. The options available let you pick one that complements the style of your photo shoot.

  • Furniture Rentals
Moving is one of the most stressful activities known to humans. Prepping for a photo shoot can feel a lot like moving. Furniture rental companies in Glendale eliminate that stress by bringing in what you need and then taking it away at the end of the photo shoot.

  • Transportation
You know that saying, “You can’t get there from here.” Sometimes that feels true as you’re trying to put everything into place and get to your venue on time. Transportation companies in Glendale will make sure you can get there, from wherever “here” is.

Photo Shoot Venue Companies in Glendale

Photo shoot venue companies in Glendale offer the same polish and precision as their neighbors in Los Angeles. These companies can help create the vibe and ambiance you need while checking some items off your to-do list.

  • Marbled LA
The client list of Marbled LA reads like a who’s who of southern California – Nike, Paramount Pictures, BMW, and NBC Universal have all turned to them for their catering needs. The company is on Milford Street in Glendale and offers local, sustainable, and seasonal catering options for all types of events and shoots.

  • Ed Limousine
Ed Limousine believes in making personal connections with their clients and then getting them where they need to be in luxury and style. Their fleet of sedans and SUVs helps continue the journey, and although they specialize in airport transport, they serve all types of transportation.

  • Event Blvd. by Christine
Weddings. Picnics. Photo shoots. Christine has designed it all and can add the finishing touches to an event or photo shoot to give exactly the right look. She and her team can help coordinate, pick up part of the planning process for you, or take advantage of the full-service planning and focus on your photo shoot.

Pros and Cons of Photo Shoot Venues in Glendale

Glendale has the advantage of being close to the action, but far enough removed to make business easier. Of course, there are other pros and cons of photo shoot venues in Glendale that may sway your decision in one direction or the other.

Advantages

  • Take it easy
Having your photo shoot venue in Glendale is easy because everything is right there. If the city doesn’t have it, Los Angeles or one of the other neighboring cities does. You can get everything you need without any added stress, whether it’s a catering company or furniture and equipment rental.

  • Travel
We know some people make location decisions based on travel alone, and we completely understand why. Delays and lost luggage can dampen the spirit of any project. Traveling to Glendale is easy because of its proximity to Los Angeles and the major roads in and out of the city.

  • It never rains
There is rainfall, but it is minimal. Glendale boasts that same sunny weather that’s made California popular for generations. A lot can go right or wrong at a photo shoot, but when you choose Glendale, you can be pretty confident that the weather will go right.

Disadvantages

  • Must be the money
Get your wallet out in Glendale. It’s still close enough to Los Angeles to have the same high costs that its neighbor to the south does. Expect to pay Los Angeles area prices when you’re in the city, whether that’s for catering, transportation, or hotels.

  • Car-dependent
Those living and working in Glendale know that you must have a car or private transportation service to efficiently travel within the city or to and from the location. There are some public transportation options, but most people rely on personal or private transportation for all their needs.

  • Fire and earthquake risk
The Station Fire in 2009 was close to Glendale and threatened the Deukmejian Wilderness Park and its famous oak tree. The fire risk within the city itself is fairly low, the biggest threat that it poses is through power outages as so much of the grid is interconnected. Earthquakes are another challenge as the city is along several fault lines and has seen earthquake damage in the past.

Famous Locations in Glendale

  • Verdugo Mountains
Technically, the Verdugo Mountains are just outside of Glendale, but you can’t be in the city staring at them and not go visit. The trails that weave through the mountains are mostly old fire roads or horseback riding, hiking, and biking trails. The reward is stunning views of southern California in all her beauty.

  • Forest Lawn Cemetery
Although it may seem odd for a cemetery to be on a list of famous places, the Forest Lawn Cemetery is a tourist destination because of the people buried here. Michael Jackson, Humphrey Bogart, and Sammy Davis Jr. all have fans stop to visit their final resting place. There’s also an art museum and extensive grounds to visit.

  • Deukmejian Wilderness Park
The Deukmejian Wilderness Park occupies 709-acres in the northern part of Glendale, bordering the San Gabriel Mountains. People enjoy the trails and views of the Crescenta Valley. The Angeles National Forest borders three sides of the park, creating a vast and pristine wilderness space. If you visit, be sure to find the 200-year-old McFall Oak. It is a two-mile hike from the main entrance on the Dunsmore Canyon Trail.
