Pros and Cons of Office Parties in Chicago
There are certain drawbacks to booking an office party venue in Chicago just as there are in any other city. Take a closer look at the pros and cons.
Advantages
- Excellent public transportation
One of the greatest and largest public transit networks in the United States is Chicago's network of trains and buses. This is especially useful if you have clients and coworkers visiting from different cities. They won't have to worry about driving or parking because excellent public transportation is available.
- Superb cuisine
Chicago is a varied city with a wide range of cuisines to choose from, including Italian cuisine, American, Polish, Indian and Chinese cuisine. It won't be difficult to select a caterer and the proper menu for your celebration.
- Stunning and picturesque
There's much to do in Chicago, whether you take your coworkers to the Chicago Botanic Garden, Lake Michigan or Lincoln Park.
Disadvantages
- Winters are harsh
Chicago's winters are bitterly cold, and the city receives more snow than other parts of Illinois. Snowstorms account for the majority of the snowfall. When throwing an outdoor office party in the winter, be sure to have a warm place to end up when the outdoor fun is complete.
- Bothersome traffic
Despite the excellent public transit system, highways are usually congested, requiring you to add half an hour to your driving time.
- Crime rates are high
Although Chicago is known for criminals such as Baby Face Nelson, John the Lingo, and Al Capone, crime rates have decreased over time; yet there are still many crimes committed on a regular basis. Carefully select the location of your party.
